Good Quick Ramen Stop

Quick/Nice service and the food was good. We really enjoyed the spicy ramen. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Excellent vegan ramen and entrees

I had the spicy ramen with a side of deep fried soy “meat” and gyoza. Honestly such a good amount of spice in the ramen (made me sweat a little) and didn’t leave me feeling like I was going to burst. I tried some broth from the garlic oil ramen and that was also super tasty! Wouldn’t hesitate going again!

Pros: Good spice levels, Reasonable price, Close to Harajuku station

Good food but small portions

The food is really good and full of flavour and they have many different choices but tbh I was still hungry.

Best ramen in Tokyo

We arrived at 6:30pm and the restaurant was already full. We waited about 15 minutes for a seat and they took our order immediately. Drinks were on the table within 1 minute. Food was about 10 minutes. Everything was incredible. The poutine was legit - super cheesy and the gravy tasted like French onion soup. The gyoza were meaty and crisp. We ordered the juju plate with miso sauce which was umami and sizzling! The ramen was amazing. A smooth, slightly thickened mouth feel to the soup, al dente noodles, cabbage and soy meat. They have smooth as hell beer on tap. They also do lunch specials.

Best ramen I had in Japan!

After one month in Japan I have to say this was the best ramen I had. Even my non-vegetarian friends agree😄gyoza was also delicious.

The Absolute Best!

This is the best place to find veganized versions of traditional Japanese food. It’s on the second floor and you need to take an elevator to get there. The food I ordered was delicious and it came fast. There was a bit of a wait for a place to sit but that meant that the place had awesome food. It was well worth the wait!

Cute space, amazing food

This place is hidden, use the elevator to get to L2. The interior is lovely and so are the staff. I had an excellent ramen and the set menu of salad and gyoza. 10/10

Pros: Ramen , Interior , Gyoza

Lovely

We didn’t find it straight away as you need to get on the elevator. But once we found it we enjoyed the chill atmosphere and nice food. Would go again.

Banger

Tokyo Ichiban Vegan Ramen !
Great ramen, great gyozas and great staff. The special roasted garlic ramen is a must have, but all the other are also bangers !
Must try !

Edit : went again and ordered everything left, and it was soooo good !

Delicious!!

Great find - especially for those visiting the Meiji Temple literally right beside it. Lot of different businesses at store front so a little confusing - we were looking for stairs. Just be sure to look to the left for the tiny elevator and head up to 2F for it. Will definitely stop again next time in the area!

Super tasty

This was a cute, busy little spot that I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as I did. I had the kobonshan ramen and it was sooo filling and tasty. The broth was creamier than I expected and I loved it! The noodles were nice as well. I had it with the mentaiko and rice as well - I highly recommend trying it!

Amazing crackers

Spicy ramen and crackers were delicious but the gyozas were a bit disappointing.

Sooooo good

We slurped down our ramen like mad devils! It was so good! We also tried the "mentaiko" on rice, which was a unique product and very tasty.

Best Vegan Ramen in Tokyo

Hard to find (almost hidden) little bistro in Harajuku. Ramen, Gyoza, Curry, Burgers and more.

What I ate:

- Kobonshan (Kyushu Tonkotsu) Ramen w/ soy meat and garlic oil
- Gyoza filled w/ veggies and a chili oil dipping sauce

To kick things off, the Gyoza made for a satisfying appetizer, and that chili oil—oh boy, it was the real deal. I couldn't resist adding a dash to my Ramen to give it that extra kick.

Now, onto the Ramen. I've always considered myself a Ramen aficionado, but this bowl was an absolute game-changer. It put all my previous Ramen experiences to shame. The noodles were thin yet delightfully chewy, the soy meat had a slightly charred, fried quality (maybe a tad too much), and the broth, well, it was an explosion of pure umami. Despite the charred notes from the soy meat, the broth still held onto that incredible umami flavor. I swear, I could taste that rich umami goodness lingering in my mouth even half an hour after I had finished my meal.

Eye opening ramen - so umami. Might be biased since it was my first bowl of real Japanese Ramen.

I went back 4 times and also tried different dishes. My favorites: spicy Karabon Ramen Karaage w/ vegan mayo

Great food and atmosphere

Amazing range of meals and sides, ramen was absolutely delicious, as were the gyozas and Buffalo "chicken". I also got a soda float which was delightful. Bonus, it's just down from the hedgehog cafe

Super!

Das Essen hat und hier richtig gut geschmeckt. Leider waren die Portionen ein wenig klein, wodurch wir 2 mal bestellt haben. So wurde es leider ein wenig teuer

Pros: Komplett vegan , Atmosphäre

Cons: Kleine Portionen

Good Noodle Soup

I liked a lot that there are dishes without onions, and some other things, but mostly the onions because I have problems with onions and it can be difficult to find vegan food without them. I had a very tasty noodle soup that I forgot the name of and my mother had ramen she is not vegan or vegetarian but often eats at these places with me. It was quite good. The seasonal pomegranate and goji berry soda was also delicious.
It is kind of difficult to find the restaurant though, as Google maps seems to have no idea how to get to it once in the right location. You have t o take an elevator to reach it, look for the signs for it. They say vegan in English, which may be helpful.

Great place hidden on second floor

This place sells a range of japanese food, fake meats and drinks. You will find it via the lift on the left hand side as you look at the building, on floor 2.

Really good food and service

I've been here 3 days as of this review. I've had the soymeat burger and the soymeat Juju. I highly recommend getting the double portion of soymeat for those dishes as the upcharge is not that high.

Best Vegan Restaurant in Tokyo

Everything we had was really good. The gyoza were incredible, and we got the spicy tsukemen and the juju grill. The tsukemen had incredible flavor and was really filling; so far its my favorite dish I've had anywhere in Tokyo (as well as the only one that I'd say was even a bit spicy). The juju grill was also delicious, and it's served sizzling on an iron plate which is fun.
For dessert I had the seiran cream soda, which I had mixed feelings about. Loved the color change, the soda, and the kohakuto (crystal jelly candy! very fun), but the ice cream left a little to be desired when mixed with the soda. I'll be back to try the other desserts.

Can be difficult to find, so make sure you know the logo or the name of the restaurant (ヴィーガンビストロじゃんがら) as the only signs I saw for it were in Japanese. You have to take an elevator from the street to get there.

Pros: Large portions, Great menu, Seriously the best

Cons: Hard to find
