Miami's version of comfort food

They always have a great variety of food to choose from. The smoothies and desserts are super delicious too! They always have cakes, cheesecakes and other vegan goodies available. My anti-vegan mother-in-law loved this place. You should definitely bring your carnivore friends. Show up before 1:30PM because they sell out of food quickly.

Pros: Lots of options, cheap, healthy comfort food

Cons: sells out of food quickly

Plant-based hole in the wall.

I've been going here for the past three years since I attend Florida International University. The owners and employees are very attentive and nice to interact with. Simple home cooked meals from the hot bar are always delicious but you have to make sure you get there early because they tend to run out of food after a certain hour depending on how busy it is. They also have a variety of salads and wraps available which always taste very refreshing. I LOVE all of their vegan baked goodies, so far my favorite brownies are from here. As a regular I can say this is one of the best places to get lunch as a vegan around the FIU area.

Pros: Affordable, Friendly Environment

Cons: Hot food bar runs out sometimes

Great for vegans

Cafeteria-style restaurant offering tons of vegan options! The menu changes daily, and usually consists of flavorful veggie-based dishes and a few soy options. I highly recommend the soups, empanadas and cake. Don't expect the restaurant or food to be pretty, but do expect to get your money's worth! The $10 meal portion usually gets me through 2 meals.

Pros: Food, Portion size, staff

Maybe would try again

I was pleasantly surprised how close this was to my school. I had been searching for vegan restaurants for a while. I like their "special of the day" option which seemed the most economical. To me the food was a little overpriced, especially a slice of pizza costing $3. Overall, the food was quite good.

Pros: Nearby, Flavorful food

Vegan and Juice

Vegan and Juice is a family owned Dominican vegan place located in a old mall in the 107th and Flagler. It is a imple establishment that offer salads, wraps and juices. For around $10.00, you can choose four plates from the daily options prepared. The menu varies, and portions looked to good size. You can find meal options ranging from daily soup, quinoa, vegetables, veggie lasagna, stuffed plantains, stuffed peppers, red beans and several other creations depending on the day. If you are not in the mood for the cantina you can ask for a special salad or wrap.

Busy during lunch time hours. There is around 6 or 8 tables and bar seating. The staff are friendly, attentive and the ambiance is laid back. The establishment is clean.

After looking at the food bar and not really impressed as the food looked to have been there a while, we decided on smoothies and desserts that were highly recommended by the staff. She said "it is the best we will ever taste." I was really excited. The smoothies were tasty, however, the desserts were not as they had a very strong presence of the herbs and spices (cilantro, recado) that were mixed in the VitaMix - was not completely cleaned out prior to mixing the dessert fillings. It was pretty awful and we didn't finish them.

If we visit Miami again, I would consider visiting again as I really like to support local, vegan, family business. :)

Pros: Vegan, Latin Foods, Friendly Staff

Cons: Strong herb and spice taste in dessert, Food was left on bar too long, Uses styrofoam and plastic bags

LOOOVE THIS PLACE !!

I sincerely love this place. Ever since I found it a few months ago I have been going every week for lunch. I call and place my order before I get there so when I arrive my food is served and ready to eat. My new favorite meal in this place is the Avocado Mambo wrap, yumm it is so delicious!! I do encourage you to get there by 11 AM or earlier when its not so busy, that way you won't have to wait :-)

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, nice vibe

Great food

After getting my cupcake fix at Bunnie Cakes I found my way to Vegan and Juice. I had to drive FAR. It was in a shopping plaza in suburbia. Weird! But it was worth the drive. It took me such a long time to get there they were starting to close. I chose my food hurriedly for take out. Even though the food had clearly been sitting under the heat lamps for a while it was REALLY good. It was the best food I had in my trip to Miami-Dade. The orange cream cake was amazing - I wanted another piece!
It's definitely worth the drive to suburbia :)

Pros: Best food, Parking

Cons: a ways out

AH-MAAAZING!

Like is mentioned in the other the reviews, this place is a true gem! There are hidden in a little Sweetwater plaza. They are less than 7 block from FIU and the food is beyond incredible. Everything there is vegan and the owner is very passionate about the food. It is heavily Caribbean/ Latin influenced. They offer a "Completo" which includes 4 items. The portions are enormous! When I went I had "Ceviche", lightly fried eggplant in sauce, a delicious cabbage in a "creamy" curry sauce, and some spectacular chickpeas in some sort of heavenly sauce. Also, they make fresh squeezed juices. I had some mighty pineapple ;) None of that watery, sugared up stuff, but real, deliciously fresh squeezed juice!

Pros: Latin Vegan Food, Friendly people, Cheap Cheap Cheap

Cons: There aren't enough of these places!!
