Good food slow service

Loved having vegan alternatives to the popular street food in Osaka! Service was a bit on the slow side but food was delicious.
Was quite hard to find from Google maps as it's downstairs, but it does connect into the subway/train network underground

Noa

All the food was great but especially the gyoza and the okonomiyaki. The service was lovely and the vibe was very cool.
It's a bit tricky to find - inside a building and on the first basement floor - but google shows the right location inside.
Note that the seating is on small stools and not regular chairs (we liked it)

Pros: The okonomiyaki, The vibe

Cons: The elevator music

Delicious food!

A great stop before getting a train due to the location. The food was tasty and I would recommend the okonomiyaki and the gyoza. You sit in a room with your shoes off. There’s televisions on too. Designed for families to enjoy with small children. It was a little hot due to no aircon being on.

Really enjoyed

I really enjoyed this place! It feels like an izakaya, although the room full of gaikokujin was very quiet for an izakaya type place lol.

I walked in on a Friday night and was seated immediately, but I was lucky because those who came after me had to wait a bit. It's a small place that's popular (especially among visitors, like me, who want to order everything on the menu) and understaffed, and the waitress was running around very busy to keep everything going. Service was inevitably a bit slow -- but not inattentive. The waitress was really nice and fun to talk to, mainly in Japanese as she didn't speak much English.

I loved being able to try different Osaka specialties, and made sure to enjoy the kushikatsu and takoyaki, which I'd never had before, so it was quite special in that sense. I eat okonomiyaki at home relatively often, but I also loved being able to eat it prepared in Osaka.

Make sure to order beer to complete the vibe. They also sell non-alcoholic Asahi, so most can partake!

Great to try local food

I wanted to try these items in Osaka and was glad to see a fully vegan cafe prepares them. We were sat in a small dining room and sat on the floor. We shared the kushikatsua (5 pieces) which were crumbed vegetables. They were all nice with the mushroom being the tastiest. I also had the takoyaki, 10 pieces. These were nice too. My partner had the Oronomiyaki which I thought was delicious. Nice staff and reasonably priced.

Adventure!

For my first vegan meal in Japan, it was pretty good. Go with an open mind re the seating, lots of small rooms with low seats and tables.

Pros: Friendly staff, Grateful for vegan availability

Cons: Hard to find with google maps as down escalator , Seating could be a little difficult for some

Tough to find, but good

The Okonomiyaki and takoyaki were bothered pretty gpod, although you can tell they are using gluten free flour to make them as the texture is a little bit gummy.

I got to have okonomiyaki!

Vegan versions of Osaka's trademark dishes including takoyaki were great. It felt wholesome and the dining rooms were great with a low seating table and shoes off

Not worth the try

We were excited know that there is a place that serve vegan okonomiyaki and takoyaki.

There are so many options on the menu and we tried 4 of them. Unfortunately, only the okonomiyaki could still made it, takoyaki was off and the gyoza and karaage were a waste of money, we just had 1 and left them alone.

Pros: Many options

Cons: Food was bad

Cozy and delicious

I absolutely loved the concept. We were 3 people and were seated in a little living room. I don't understand Japanese but it was awesome to snack and watch Japanese tv shows.

Everything is vegan and there are various choices. We ordered a bunch of things and shared it so that we could try various things

I would say this place is perfect for families or small groups because you have your own room.

Pros: Privacy due to having a room to yourself , English menu , Vegan Takoyaki

Cons: We didn't find it immediately. It's downstairs

Super lecker

Das Essen war sehr lecker, aber die Portionen sind groß. Wir hätten es zu zweit fast nicht geschafft 🙈
(zusätzlich zu dem an Bild hatten wir noch 10 stk gyoza und frittiertes Gemüse)

Pros: Gutes Essen , Alles Vegan

Cons: Würfel zum sitzen und niedriger Tisch

This is an absolutely brilliant vegan restaurant, with little, private tatami rooms to have dinner in.
They offer veganized specialities from Ōsaka. Make sure to try as much as you can eat because everything tastes great.

Pros: Local vegan specialties , Very friendly , Private dinner rooms

Fully vegan Japanese restaurant

Vegan place that specialises in Japanese soul food.

Got the okonomiyaki but this one doesn’t taste as authentic as the one in Hiroshima.
The kushikatsu is basically veggie tempura (fried in breadcrumbs) and was decent.

The raisin cake was good and it came with ice cream.

Location is a bit hard to find so follow the directions.

Staff barely speaks English but are very friendly and accommodating.

Pros: Fully vegan , Friendly staff, Good soul food

Cons: Pricey, Location is hard to find

Very difficult to find

Maybe it's just me, but my experience here wasn't so good. The staff is really friendly, but the food is not great: very heavy, mostly fried things. The Takoyaki were not bad, but they come to the table steaming hot, so be careful not to get your mouth burned.

Another thing is that you need to have a lot of free time to find the place, which is really well hidden in one of the underground floors near the Osaka station. It took us at least 30 minutes to find it. And then there was also a lot of waiting time to eat (at least another 30 minutes as well. We were there at around 9pm).

Super Great Traditional Vegan Dishes

I visited here with my meat-eating partner, and we both really enjoyed it! The menu is simple and fairly small, with all traditional Osaka and Japanese dishes but all are vegan! There is nothing with animal product. We recommend the Karaage it was super crunchy and delicious. Our meal was very cheap for two and the staff were friendly and service was rapid.

Not difficult to find if you just follow the instructions on the website, just use Google maps to arrive at the building.

You get a little private room where you sit cross legged on the floor, and it's definitely a fun spot for vegan eats! You can also rent card games and board games, dvds and stuff for the TV but we didn't try this out.

Pros: Taste, Private room, Friendly and quick service

Cons: Room decor felt a bit strange/off!

Nice vegan takoyaki

I didn't expect to get a chance to try takoyaki, but here you can! And it was delicious. They also have other typical Japanese food, which was also really tasty.

You eat in a private Japanese-style room, which is an added touch to the experience.

Veggie Okonomiyaki

Only veggie Okinomiyaki I've found in Osaka so far, and it's good too! Not the cheapest place. We ate in an individual dining room which was like a karaoke booth with no microphones, which I quite liked but the wife didn't. The outside has changed now so don't look for that big green sign as I did, it's not there anymore!

Tricky to find! But cute place

It’s inside a building, follow the instructions on the website. I wasn’t expecting to find vegan takoyaki in Japan so am really happy to join in the experience! The takoyaki uses GF flour so doesn’t fully set on the inside compared to the original ones, but they are crispy on the outside. mine had mushroom pieces inside which was great but I later read on the website you could add in “oriental toppings” eg. Spring onion, ginger, tempura flakes which I wish they told me about when I ordered because I would have added them !! Also would love more Mayo and sauce on my takoyaki. Love the private rooms, and TV, loved watching the olympics! I love the concept of it being mum & baby friendly for added privacy. very good effort and would go again to support a small business or if I’m craving takoyaki again! Excellent for gluten free but vegan seems secondary.

Pros: Living room / private room , Looked and tasted the same as original takoyaki, Mum and baby friendly ! Female friendly!

Cons: Texture of GF flour (as a non-coeliac vegan), Tricky to find , Didn’t ask me to add more fillings or extra sauce

An Absolute Must for Vegans and GF

My husband and I ordered way too much because we were indecisive. We got the Gyoza, Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, and Karaage. By far our favourite dish was the Okonomiyaki, followed by the Takoyaki.

Portions are a really decent size, we ordered way too much for 2 people. Honestly could have gone without the Karaage. It was nice but nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere is pretty cool. You get your own little private room with lounges and a tv. The staff are lovely. If you’re in the area you have to try this place though, you honestly won’t be disappointed.

Pros: Food, Service , Atmosphere

Cons: Location - restaurant is a bit confusing to find

Fun Veganised Delicacies

First, this place is tricky to find and Google maps was not too helpful with our route! If you are arriving from the train/metro station, follow signs for exit 8 and this puts you in the right place. We felt it was worth the effort to find it.

Second, the seating is not typical western restaurant style. We were taken to a small private room with a giant TV and a sofa and coffee table, both of which were a bit too low for my personal liking. It's supposed to recreate the comfort of dining at home, but it wasn't that comfy for me.

Finally, the food! We were really excited by the menu which gave us the chance to try some veganised versions of local delicacies, and we were really pleased with what we got.

We really enjoyed the okonomiyaki. I see a few other reviews have noted that it was quite small, but ours was quite sizeable. It was saucy but not totally swimming in sauce, and the cabbage and meaty chunks had enough bite to keep the texture interesting.

It was our first time trying takoyaki, and we were impressed! The server gave us some advice that we appreciated on how to eat it without burning our mouths. The texture was nice and gooey inside and it had a good savoury flavour. It was a fun dish!

We also tried kushikatsu for the first time. The coating was good and crunchy, while the vegetables / mock meat were tender.

For two not super hungry people, we shared the okonomiyaki, 5 pieces of kushikatsu, and 10 pieces of takoyaki, and we were very satisfied with that amount of food.

Other reviews mention that it's quite expensive. We certainly found it more expensive than Tokyo. It was the only meal out we had in Osaka, so I can't compare it with local offerings. For us, it was worth it to get the dishes we wanted in a convenient location.

5 stars for food, 4 stars for overall comfort/cost.

So yummy!

Great atmosphere in traditional Japanese seating. The food was delicious! The takoyaki was so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. So full of flavour! Also had karaage and sushi. Really friendly staff and tasty food!!

Très bon

Très bon repas : okonomiyaki, takoyaki, sushi, karaage. Ambiance dans un salon japonais avec table basse et télévision, on se sent comme a la maison. Service chaleureux.
