A fantastic stay at a Tuscan farm house. - Edit
We were here for 5 nights in June 2023, and really enjoyed our stay.
Read moreThe setting is absolutely stunning: a renovated farm house, a salt water pool, surrounded by olive trees, their own vegan organic vineyard and a veganic veg garden. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast (no buffet - which I find a pity) and dinner are served on the covered terrace, with a stunning view at the towers of San Gimignano. (there's also an inside dining room, but we could sit outside every time).
Of course this is a touristic hotspot, just next to the historical city of San Gimignano.
But all things considered, it was very expenisve (eg wáy more expensive than sister-hotel La Vimea up north where we stayed prior to coming here, where the food was much more refined and the hotel offered better comfort). For example regarding the room: there are no real 'curtains' to block out the light, so that means it's very bright from very early AM (so bring your own eye covers, if you, like me need darkness to sleep!). The shower curtain could not stop the water from spreading across the bathroom floor, and there was already mold forming. The chairs on the terrace are simple bistrot chairs even without cushions, which are really uncomfortable.
Those are just some things that would make the stay even better.
But all in all: we really had a great time: relaxing in and around the pool, taking a walk in the vineyard, had a guided tour by the owner around the property, did dome sightseeing and biking in the area.
The surrounding area was also very quiet, although it might seems that may change in the future. When we were there there were road construction works nearby for a new road around San Gimignano. Hopefully that won't affect them!
About accessibility: I don't think there's an accessible room. Steps/stairs on several places on the property.

Phantastic location in San Gimignano with extraordinary vegan food - Edit
We spent 2 weeks at I Pini and enjoyed every single day with a nicely prepared breakfast on the terasse and a 5 course menu for dinner. Everything 100% vegan and natural mostly directly from the I Pini garden. The concept of the hotel and the kitchen is staying very close to the essentials of nature without any bells and whistles but in high quality.

A very warm recommendation for everybody who likes vegan food and good wines with very friendly hosts and service.

I called 09 April 2023 to make a reservation. The restaurant isn’t open yet, but the women on the phone was extremely helpful. She made several suggestions in the area and other restaurants I might really enjoy a little further away.

I Pini is an incredible awakening of the senses: from the healing nature and mind-blowing food to the great interior design and peaceful atmosphere. Our 1 week stay in summer was full of inspirations, tranquillity and regeneration. Perfect to slow down and nourish the soul. We are so grateful to have found this gem.

Stayed here for 4 days and had breakfast and dinner each day, also got a lunch to go once. The quality of their ingredients is great, as with most Italian food, the dishes are fairly simple to let the produce shine through. Worth a visit / stay.

Absolutely incredible, like a dream - Edit
We found this on Happy Cow on a whim, and called for a lunch reservation immediately based on the great reviews. This place is better than we could have ever expected - the atmosphere, team, and food are over and beyond. I can’t explain it, when you get there you just understand how special it is. We also felt so welcomed when we mentioned an allergy, instead of switching one item with something else the chef thought outside of the box and made something new and specific to make sure we had a delicious alternative.

Read moreDie Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet, die Matratzen bequem und wir haben uns auf Anhieb wohgefühlt. Auch das 5-Gängige vegane Menü hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Jedes Gericht war in sich besonders und zu 100% mit dem Gemüse aus dem hauseigenen Garten zubereitet.
Mein persönliches Highlight: die hauseigene Bibliothek mit einer Auswahl an philosophischen Werken, Bildbänden und gut sortierten Sachbüchern in den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen.
Die Inhaber aber auch das Personal ist herzlich, offen und hat keinen unserer Wünsche offen gelassen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder – vielen Dank für diese Erfahrung!

I Pini ... a holy place - Edit
... this felt like such peaceful and healing place and you could feel it right away. For me as a photographer I could see the beauty and love in every single corner and everything is just so extraordinary photogenic.

The staff was welcoming and treating us in the loveliest way and after we met the owners we were just blown away from their kindness and then we understood why this is such a magical place.

Everything is made from the plants they grow and cultivate on the farm. The wine is completely natural. Their olive oil is out of this world.
The ethos of this place is about living within our natural world and not separate from it… and it feels it. This place has a healing energy about it.
Whether you stay here for the night, or book for dinner or lunch (bookings required)… you won’t regret your time here.

Such a beautiful and special place - Edit
We spent nine days at the agrovilla and it felt like several weeks of pure relax to us. This place just goes beyond - the amazing vegan food, the calming architecture, the selection of natural drinks and high class IPini wines, the beautiful nature and of course the wonderful people that hosted us. We are so grateful for this unique experience and are planning to come back next summer!

I've been here for lunch during my stay in Tuscany. Location is absolutely lovely, in a peaceful and quite place not too far from San Gimignano. Food is actually really good, even if the choice was not so wide, and the dishes were absolutely expensive, but i guess you pay for the location and for the fact that you can't find such a place anywhere else in Tuscany. Good selection of drinks as well including Kefir and Kombucha. Staff is really nice.

Unser Urlaub in der Agrivilla I Pini war eine unbeschreiblich tolle Experience. Die Villa liegt total schön auf einer Anhöhe mit ganz viel Natur rundherum. Schon beim Eintreten spürt man Frieden, Ruhe und Good Vibes, die sich sofort auf uns übertragen haben. Die Menschen dort sind sehr nett und aufmerksam, der Service kommt von Herzen. Vom Essen schwärmen wir noch heute, Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen waren täglich ein Gedicht. I Pini ist ein Muss für alle, die veganes Essen lieben und die Schönheit im Detail sehen. Die minimalistische Gestaltung der Zimmer und Räumlichkeiten ist genial, ebenso die Qualität der gewählten Materialien. I Pini ist ein strahlender Ort mit Persönlichkeit. I Pini tut einfach gut - Edit
Wir waren im August 2021 für 8 Tage in Agrivilla I Pini und schwärmen noch immer von dem besonderen Urlaubserlebnis. Das Konzept ist sehr ökologisch, die Menschen (die Mitarbeiter und auch die anderen Gäste) waren wunderbar und echt, das Essen war rein und pflanzlich. Vegan vom Feinsten! Wir genossen die Stille, die Auszeit von Fernseher und ähnlichen Ablenkungen. I Pini ist glücklicherweise kein Ort für Jedermann – wer Halli Galli und aufgesetzten Luxus sucht, ist hier falsch. Wir sind sehr dankbar für die unvergessliche Zeit und haben vieles von der Nachhaltigkeit und dem Minimalismus zu Hause schon umgesetzt (z.B. gibt’s bei uns nur mehr handgemachte Naturseife im Bad). Danke auch für die großartigen Frühstücksaufstriche! Hoffentlich auf bald.

This place was so beautiful and relaxing I wish I could have stayed for a week. The meals were so creative and unique, the staff were so kind. If you have the opportunity to go here do so! Even if it costs a little more it is so worth it.

We cannot do anything else but to recommend the place. We stayed at I Pini for 3 days and every meal was amazing. Very creative and never boring meals. We just wish we could stay longer to taste even more food 🤩

We had a nice lunch there, but it was not in any way special. I think we expected much more for the price: terrace was kind of casual/messy, service not in a rush and they did not even know the menu of the day and had to check it twice. If it was half the price and not that hyped (thus high expectations), I would rate it higher.

The staff is very loveable and welcoming and the atmosphere inside is nice and warm. The food tastes amazing: I shared a coconut, cabbage, lentil and pumpkin soup, a type of savoury pie and a kale pesto pasta dish. All the dishes were amazing and I loved the soup.

Das I pini hat mehr zu bieten als eine super feine vegane küche! Das baubiologisch umgebaute Gebäude ist eine Wohlfühloase für alle Sinne. Der erfrischende Pool mit Salzwasser wird auch für den Permakulturgarten genutzt, wo auch ein Teil des Abwassers wiederverwendet wird. Vom Permakulturgarten kommt dann das feine Gemüse, das in der veganen Küche veredelt wird. Im I pini sind Menschen mit Herz und Seele und grossem Engagement für eine nachhaltige Zukunft am Werk!
