First time trying Eritrean, absolutely blown away - Edit
The variety of taste and the texture of the bun (?) totally blew me away.
Read moreWe had the platter with variety of items.
The lentil mash tasted so much like chicken. The lentil soup also tasted very much like chicken soup.
I eat a lot and the portions were more than enough.
Very curious what the jackfruit menu is like. Definitely going back.

Delicious Eritrean food (and beers) - Edit
Lovely restaurant serving delicious food. The soups as starters (we tried lentil and peanut) were fantastic. The mains (just get the combo platter so you can try a bit of everything) are delicious. I love trying the different types of food they have. The injeras are delicious. Overall great food and would definitely come back!

Good food, long wait - Edit
Eritrean pancakes eaten using your fingers, with tasty toppings. Only drawback is that the owner thought we needed gluten-free when we asked if everything was vegan. Lost in translation I guess. Food was quite good, but took quite long to prepare due to the mix-up.

Discovered this restaurant just now. Taste of Africa, fully vegan! We had the shared pancake, and a home brewed beer with it. Desserts fully vegan too. Would have liked to try the traditional dessert, but we were stuffed. Will be back!

Delicious - Edit
We ordered the combi dinner for two and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a nice mix of veg and lentil dishes, and of course the injera. The food was less oily than other Ethiopian places we have tried, which we really liked. I tried an Eritrean beer too, which was just ok but consistent with the theme. Cozy atmosphere with relaxing African music. The owner was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely food, but pricey - Edit
My friends and I chose the plate with dishes made for sharing. It was enormous and delicious as well. I could taste the care and love that was put into making the dishes. The employees were so nice too. The only down side of the restaurant is probably the price.

The African experience - all vegan! - Edit
One man operation in a cosy place with an eclectic mix of furniture and decorations. The menu is all vegan, even where it accidentally says 'vegetarian'. Main dishes are all the same, they're a combination of everything on offer, on a big plate - you only choose the sauce. Appetisers and desserts are individual, different dishes, though. I only had a little hunger and ordered peanut soup with an indjera, an African pancake (filled with a veggie sauce). Very tasty, both!

Sharing a big plate with the most colourful and tasty dishes you have ever seen and eating it with your bare hands is the most rewarding thing ever! Couldn't stop eating even though I was already saturated. Cosy atmosphere with pleasant african jazz music and great service :)

Heerlijk, authentiek eten. - Edit

Made me happy - Edit
The restaurant had a really laid back vibe and was really cozy. A young and kind lady took our order. The fun thing was that you actually don’t have lots of options to choose of. If there are a few options I automatically trust that the cooks will put a lot of effort in it. And I was really happy about the taste! We had a lentil soup as starter which was nice. As main you could only choose the injera. The injera was great and tasted just as I used to have from an old Ethiopian lady. I didn’t had room for a dessert anymore. So I will be back soon :)
