The California Burrito!!! - Edit
Omg!!! It was the best burrito I have EVER had holy crap it was amazing. It’s a pretty small operation for now and I believe that they only serve the burritos on weekends but they have other food available throughout the week. Definitely try it!!

Ever since the location opened in Grossmont center I've been there almost every week. I love the loaded fries, the garlic Parm fries are also amazing. My favorite of their chicken options is the Beyond nuggets and I love the ranch dipping sauce.

This is a great new little place. The wings are actually AMAZING best vegan wings I’ve had so far. Don’t really like beyond meat as much as impossible and that’s all they serve for the burgers so meh on that front. The carne asada fries are also incredible, even though I don’t like Beyond they are so well seasoned and cooked you can’t even tell!

Best burrito - Edit
This is the best carne asada burrito I've ever had. I can't eat it in one sitting though, it's huge. The burgers are terrific, and on pretzel buns! My only complaint is the limited hours and times, and limited beverages. Your only choices are kombucha and water, and I think kombucha is gross.

It’s just really good food. I prefer impossible over beyond, but thats a personal preference. They have multiple yummy sauces, and their burritos are HUGE. Seriously, I can eat a lot but its 2-3 meals. Great location, friendly staff and always willing to swap out things for other items if you ask. Highly recommend.

The burgers here are really tasty, & the fries are tasty too. It's in the food court @ the grossmont mall. Parking in this mall is kinda testy & sucks, but it's worth it. I like that I can order takeout online on their own website & pick up without facebook knowing my dietary requirements. The food court has a real dece outdoor section & inside is legit spacious. My favorite are the vegn out burger, with hous pickles, & fries; eat responsibly.

Veg’n Out on a Saturday Afternoon - Edit
Visited on a Saturday afternoon. When I first got there I was the only one in line, but they delivered two orders prior to mine, and several groups of people queued up after me.
Read moreFood was moderately high priced for the burgers and brats, but nothing outrageous- just on the high end of moderate for a fast food place. The wings seemed to hit the normal price mark. I spent $20 and change. All items are ala carte.
I had the brats on a pretzel bun and the jackfruit wings (3).
I got the regular wings with vegan ranch because I wanted to taste the full flavor of the wings. While the wings will not fool a meat eater, they were excellent and quite flavorful. The texture was a bit too moist, but had a good bite and pull. I’ll eat them again. I’ll try the buffalo wings next time. The ranch dressing was delicious.
They use Beyond brats, and it could fool all but the most aware carnivore palates. I got the sauerkraut, which was high quality and good, but seemed to pre-made. The stoneground mustard was excellent, as was the pretzel bun. If I had a constructive suggestion, it would be to brush a tad of diluted liquid smoke onto the brats..
Where they really could improve is in their drink offering. Very limited. I will say the the sparkling water I had was very good.
Very positive experience. I will be back.

My favorite burgers in SD - Edit
I’ve recently discovered this at Modern Times, then found out the Golden Hill take out on Fridays only and have been making it a tradition since then. Grant is a great creative chef and features an unique burger every week. My regular menu’s favorites include the Vegnout (in n out style) and the breakfast burger.

I love their Innovative burgers and wish I could have each one every week. But the lack of a static location or storefront makes it hard. If you can track them down it's 100% worth the time and money.
