Downgraded for vegans in 2022

Sadly the 2022 menu does not have any vegan dedicated options. We were here on opening day for the season, and the waiter had no idea what vegan means. We thought we were going to leave, but the manager came to help decide the menu. He went to ask someone else to be sure, and then was able to figure out ordering the new vegetable bowl (though it contains honey) and adding tempeh. Thankfully the tempeh was added because although the bowl was pretty tasty, it lacked adequate protein. I doubt we will return unless they update their menu for better vegan options.

Pros: Manager willing to help get vegan options-ask, Good tofu and tempeh options- ask, Easy parking

Cons: No vegan dedicated entrees or items in 2022, Staff unaware of vegan needs, Vegan not noted on menu

Excellent vegan and vegetarian options

Vegan and vegetarian options go beyond the usual token veggie burger. Tofu is included in their standard protein options, and then there are two dishes, one vegetarian and one vegan (with tofu and tempeh respectively), that are delicious: well- conceived and prepared. Also, their Buffalo cauliflower is yummy and not fried but roasted (get both sauces on the side).

Pros: Creative chef--good veg options, Service, Portion sizes

Nice!

I had their tofu sauté dish with a side of pasta and have to say it was pretty good! Did not expect to be so pleased with this restaurant but was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options and kind wait staff!

Pros: Chef and waitstaff are accommodating , Very friendly

Cons: Not a lot of vegan options

Friendly Service and Tasty Tofu

Great find in Wellfleet! I went here with a group of 10 family members we made a reservation an hour before we got there. I had the baked tofu without feta. An other member of my group is a vegetarian and got the rice and beans. Everything was delicious and our waiter was very friendly and accommodating off all our substitutions!

Very accommodating

I was very happy to find out about this restaurant as my mom wanted to order a lobster and I was able to get the vegetarian bowl and make it vegan. I added tofu and broccoli to get in some extra protein and veggies and it came out very good. The rice and bean blend that it came with was also very tasty. The tofu was prepared well with nice large pieces and the server was very friendly and understanding. I'm glad my family and I were able to find a restaurant with seafood and vegan options.

It was alright

Great salad bar and most of the menu could be made vegan. However, the waiter talked over me and seemed irritated that I was asking questions about the vegan options

No, no and no for Vegans

I'm leaving a review on my husband's account. Place offers tofu dish, however the kitchen has no idea what to do with it. $21.00 plate for a blob of undercooked, unflavored tofu with olives. Most dissatisfied. Please don't go if your vegan. My husband had the salmon and he seemed to enjoy it. Cape Cod needs more vegan options! 😥 1 star restaurant

Pros: Parking was good

Cons: Yuck

Original meal

I had a very nicely presented noodle bowl. It included spaghetti squash and many other delicious veggies. Sauce was also very good with a ginger base.

Pros: lots of replacement options if you eat tofu, not a busy area, outside of town

Don't waste your time, utterly disappointing.

We were excited that tofu could be substituted for any of the meats (catch of the day price of $20) they offered. We asked for no feta, which came piled high atop the soggy and incorrectly cooked tofu (it seems like if you offer this item you should know how to prepare it). The Noodle bowl was tasty, but the portions were minuscule. When the owner came by for the formality of "how was everything?" we informed him of some of the miscues, and he abruptly walked away mid-sentence. Our server was incredibly nice and considerate and brought the owner's wife (the main reason that this review is not getting a .5) and she really tried her best to rectify the issues. Don't waste your time.

Pros: Nice staff

Cons: expensive, improperly prepared tofu, rude owner

Good vegan food with a nice ambiance

In addition to two veg/vegan entries, they will prepare their signature dishes with tofu (nicely seasoned) instead of fish. It's a sit down place with nice ambiance. Not a lot of vegan options in the mid-cape, this is a nice one.

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff

Cons: it's a seafood place, at heart

Hat's off

So nice to have a restaurant in Wellfleet that has specifically stated vegan options. Not a lot of choices but nonetheless, there are vegan choices. Breakfast this morning was a tofu mushroom and spinach dish served with a fruit salad and whole grain toast. This was great considering the only other option I usually find when eating out for breakfast is oatmeal.
Tofu seems to be their go-to vegan option for dinner as well. They have a wonderful salad bar with dinner that helps make the tofu main course a little more appealing.
Everyone is very accommodating.
Great place to eat if you're with a group of mixed vegans and non-vegans. All can find something to eat here.

Pros: Vegan options, Accommodating staff, Great salad bar

Cons: Tofu seems to be the vegan option, Not too creative but good food
