lovely place great food friendly staff - Edit
a discovery in Enschede (Twente region in the east of The Netherlands): an old farm house saved from devastation in the firework factory explosion a quarter century ago, in the midst of a lovely renovated and resurrected neighbourhood, serving delicious food - many vegan options - a regularly renewed menu provides a variety of choice - we enjoyed ‘KEEP CALM AND CURRY ON’, one of the many entries with silly names, often puns in Dutch - recommended - note their opening hours: a ‘lunchroom’ serving early dinners (closes on most days at 19:00)

Dit was letterlijk een bodempje lauwe kokosmelk, zwarte rijst en wat vruchtjes bovenop. Iets wat ik zelf ook in 2 seconden had kunnen maken. Verre van een volwaardige lunch.

Surprising menu and lovely staff - Edit
We came to have lunch at Van Doorn en Doorn and were very glad we did! Such a cute little restaurant in a great spot. Almost half of the menu is vegan or can be served vegan. They even have a vegan full English breakfast! Big compliments to the chef for designing a very original menu and staying away from the vegan clichés. We had a pulled banana peel sandwich, and it was soooo good!! The owner told us they are introducing even more vegan items on their new menu. In addition to the amazing food, the staff is also very friendly and considered. When our 2 yrs old son was having a little tantrum, she came to the rescue and showed him a secret box filled with toys.

Een latte macchiato besteld met sojamelk (havermelk kon ook) en een sandwich pulled jackfruit. Goed op smaak. Vriendin (niet-vegan) ook enthousiast na proeven. Personeel gaf aan dat er best wel wat van de kaart de veganizen valt. Prima ervaring dus.
