Voldoende uitgebreid vegan ontbijt

Blijkbaar is er altijd standaard sojamelk en amandelmelk, de yoghurt en pudding(chocolade en vanille) alleen op aanvraag.
Fruit, groenten, bonen, noten,zaden,crackers, broodjes, vers geperst fruitsap,hummus,...

Pros: Men toonde ons wat vegan was bij aankomst, Veel keuze, Overheerlijk en vers

Cons: De yoghurt en pudding zou standaard mogen zijn

Great to see options but some room to improve

We went here to try out their new menu and ordered a variety of dishes.
Steak tartare was amazing while both the other starters could do with some more spices or maybe marinade for the jackfruit/bananaflower. They were both quite bland right now. We told them about it and they said they would definitely take our advice and try out some things to make it better.
The conchiglie was spicier than expected but still really good and my sister loved the taste of the sweet potato gnocchi and said it was better that regular gnocchi. The pasta was also good. The fries on the side were slightly seasoned and tasted absolutely amazing!
For dessert I ordered the sorbet without whipped cream, which had some lovely sorbet flavours. My mom got the special coffee and it was served with a piece of fudge. When we asked if it was vegan they told us no but a couple of minutes later the chef surprised us with a quickly made small vegan snack made of quince and agar agar. Tasted like a fruit jelly and it was super kind of him to make this for us. Really great service!

Jelly made of quince and agar agar, we got this from the chef when the fudge that came with the coffee wasn’t vegan. at Van der Valk Hotel in Middelburg

Gnocchi made from sweet potato. Here in a non vegan creamy sauce for my vegetarian sister but can be ordered vegan. at Van der Valk Hotel in Middelburg +3
