Awesome Co-op!!

This is one of the best co-ops you will find in the Twin Cities. They recently expanded their store...huge produce section and wonderful deli with vegan options offered regularly. They also have an awesome coffee and juice bar. I could go on and on in detail but if you are ever a veggie visiting the burnsville area, definitely stop in for a visit. The staff here are also very, very friendly!

Pros: Vegan choices in deli, Huge produce section, Nice hot and cold food bar

Awesome co-op!

This is one of my go-to places for produce and refillables! They have a peanut butter machine where you can bring your own jar and it will grind down peanuts for made in house peanut butter and it is FANTASTIC! Plenty of vegan options for soups and bakery, all of which are fantastic and flavorful (I’d spend my entire paycheck at the bakery alone if I could) and staff are friendly and helpful.

Pros: Great selection of produce, Locally sourced products, Lots of vegan options

Cons: VERY expensive

Nice selection of ready-to-eat vegan food

This is a very nice co-op that has a peaceful outdoor community garden where you can sit, enjoy a beverage or bite to eat, or just experience the green space.

The inside grocery area has an impressive selection of meat and dairy alternatives.

There is a nice selection of ready-to-eat food that has clear vegan labeling. Make sure to read the ingredient labels because 2 items in the deli were labeled vegan but contained honey. There is indoor café seating with tables/chairs, a TV and a fireplace.

Here are the vegan food items available on the day I visited:

VEGAN DELI ITEMS
Red Curry Tofu
Thai Cucumber Salad
Kung Pao Tofu (labeled vegan but ingredient list includes honey)
Creamy Coleslaw (labeled vegan but ingredient list includes honey)
Large salad bar

VEGAN HOT BAR ITEMS
French Fries
Caramelized Mushrooms and Onions
Vegan Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Garlic Green Beans
Brown rice
Lemon Garlic Spaghetti
Rosemary Roasted Potatoes
Roasted Vegetables

VEGAN HOT SOUP BAR ITEMS
House made Red Lentil & Coconut Soup
House made Soup Diet

Great store with a juice bar.

I’ve shopped here numerous times during my stays in Minneapolis. This place is so great! It has a juice bar (including drive through), prepared food area and a great selection of products at reasonable prices. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out. I prefer it over Whole Foods for sure.

Yes!

new go-to grocery. focus on local sustainable produce. best vegan grocery variety around and meat alternatives i can’t find anywhere else. i like the community and the employees which makes it that much better.

Pros: local sustainable produce, vegan options , meat alternatives

Cons: could use more creative vegan cheeses, partner with herbivorous butcher for more ?

Not a grocery store, better.

I don't go here to grocery shop, I'd spend too much money but I do come here for specialty foods, you'll always find the best Vegan Alternatives.

Pros: lots of vegan options.

Cons: expensive

Great options & people

I’ve only been here twice, but I will definitely go again and again! Everyone is so nice no matter what role they play at the Co-op. I originally went for a specialty vegan item, but I was pleasantly surprised with their options and prices.

Tons of great vegan, organic and local products!

All the staple items plus much more. Their Tofu Cashew Spread is awesome. They also have a great drive thru juice & coffee bar too.

Pros: Vegan options, Organic, Local

Cons: Sells animal products too
