okayy - Edit
pretty average food..wish there was more vegan options in the area but this placed seemed to be the most accommodating. food was okay, nothing that good. was a bit expensive in my opinion especially for the mediocre quality of food ($65 for 2 and we got drinks, food, chips, and a cupcake). the cupcake was actually quite good. have some gf options as well which is nice:) wouldn’t really recommend making a trip out just to visit but is decent option if in the area x

Best vegan laksa - Edit
One of those rare places where everything on the menu is delicious. After visiting here more than 10 times, have to say the laksa is my absolute go-to.

Tasty and fresh - Edit
My second visit to V series was solo. On my first, I’d enjoyed the generous curry laksa while my son chomped happily into the bento. This time I was presented with a huge stack of hash brown, tomatoes, spinach, mushroom and crispy tofu drizzled with flavourless yellow sauce. Lots of textures and good fresh veg didn’t need the liquid. But it’s a great meal!

Beautiful cupcakes - Edit
We really enjoyed the rice paper rolls and buns here. They have a great cupcake selection too - the cheesecake is my favourite! They’re not open for dinners any more which is a shame but still fantastic for lunch.

Good vegan and gluten free options - Edit
I had the vegan laksa and the vegan tiramisu cupcake and my dining companion had the vegan lasagna. I really enjoyed the laksa and the cupcake. The lasagna was described as enjoyable but not exciting. There were quite a lot of vegan and gluten free options and there was seating both inside and outside and they had high chairs available. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would be keen to come back and try more of their menu.

Delicious and unique menu! - Edit
The steamed bao are absolutely delicious! They also have an awesome range of vegan cupcakes - the small ones starting at just $2.50 so it’s hard not to taste test at least one flavour when you visit!

Father Day with the Girls
Read moreThe staff @ V Series were very cheerful and made us all feel @ home from the moment we sat down. I started with the Super Green Juice, Celery, Green Apple,Cucumber and Spinach a combination I hadn't tried before. Freshened Up I went with the Bento Box, crispy salads of various forms and tastes. The Enoki Tempura and Spring Rolls were cooked to perfection and the seseame sprinkled beans and rice just added to the adventure. At one point I asked for some wasabi mayo then it just appeared like magic, no fuss. Great!
Alana enjoyed her Curry Laksa and the girls plates all looked delicious and inventive.
The complementary Fathers Day Cupcake was a nice touch. Thank You. We will be back.

The only veg eatery around - Edit
I visited again today for the first time in a year or two. The menu has been revamped with most meals priced at $18 or so. My Barbeque tofu buns came from the small meals section priced at $12 which was decent value. They were pleasant enough but I've had better bao in recent times. The tofu was more like mock than tofu which was unexpected. The sesame latte was very enjoyable. It would be great to see this Cafe go fully vegan soon.

V Series is definitely an improvement on Caterpillar's Dream. The menu shows a lot of promise; meals are well presented but are still not quite up there in terms of flavour. I hope they continue to fine tune the menu as it has a lot of potential to impress.

Good food, service a little slow - Edit
I was here with 2 friends for lunch. I had a lot of trouble deciding what to have as there was a good range of vegan items or options. The bento bowl was well presented and I loved the tempura mushrooms. It looked pretty. I also had a tiramisu cupcake and hot chocolate. My friends had eggs, I was hoping they’d try a vegan option but it can be a challenge getting non veg people to a vegetarian restaurant, let alone getting them to try something vegan! We actually asked the waitress to come over to our table and we ordered the desserts at the counter. I wish the service was a bit better but I’d like to go back. They were really nice people working there though

Delicious vegan Asian food and desserts - Edit
31.12 The food at V Series is always fresh and delicious - and is also served very fast. The waitress who served me was prompt, polite and helpful which I appreciated, and as we were sitting outside with our dog, she brought over a small water bowl! Their indoor and outdoor seating is beautiful and comfortable. I ordered the vegan curry don which was delicious. It had potato, tofu, carrot, green beans, broccoli, bay leaves and a vegan schnitzel. The carrots were cooked perfectly, very soft. The schnitzel was one of the best I’ve had, not too fake tasting or chewy, but gave a great flavour to the entire dish. I also ordered a side of potato fries with vegan sour cream. The fries were soft yet crispy on the outside, and the sour cream was a little flavourless but still had the consistency of real sour cream. The Vitamin C juice was too sour, and not very fruity so that was probably the only downside. Couldn’t finish it because it wasn’t the best tasting. For dessert, I shared a mini vegan raspberry cupcake which was delicious - sweet yet not too overpowering.
Read more01.01. I visited V Series for lunch on New Year’s Day - one great thing is that they’re open on public holidays. Today I ordered the vegan tempeh tacos with greens, salsa, vegan sour cream, cucumber and avocado. They were in a hard shell, and the veggies were so fresh and delicious. The tempeh servings were very generous and the dish was huge and filling. I take back what I said yesterday about the sour cream not having flavour - in the tacos they tasted creamy yet balanced the strong taste of the salsa. I also shared some peking bean curd steamed baos, which were amazing - the bao buns were so soft and the peking bean curd resembled peking duck very closely! Inside was also some veggies.
Pros: Curry is delicious, Open on public holidays, Desserts are all vegan!
Cons: Juice wasn’t nice

Great cafe - Edit
I always get excited when I find a vegie place that feels like a classy cafe that just happens to have a vegan-friendly menu. V-Series definitely fits that description.
Read moreI had the lasagne, an iced chocolate, and took a cupcake (lemon and blueberry) home for later. I enjoyed all of it. The cupcake in particular was noteworthy - it actually tasted as good as it looked, unlike most cupcakes, and it looked very good.
It wasn't cheap, but I think the prices were ok given the quality of the food and experience. I'll definitely be back.
Pros: Nearly everything can be vegan, Cafe-feel, Amazing Cupcakes!
Cons: Looks out over carpark

Fusion of taste with a classy feel - Edit
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and decor. Lots of clearly marked vegan options on the evening menu. The food fusions are unusual but work well. Desserts are a bit pricey, but much more creative than the usual vegan offerings at many places. There's an impressive array of cupcakes too. Price is in the moderate category, but nice for a special evening out. We'll be back ?

very encouraging and great food - Edit
We (a group of veggie heads) have visited this locale (prev as Caterlillars Dream) for a few years: we saw the lift-off ( great food, more options than patrons) then the expected plateau and very sadly the die-off. But all is once again hopeful, Great staff, polite efficient, friendly and so my hope is that the re-energised V-series will prosper. Have had the best meals there over last 3 weeks.

Potential - Edit
The food has come a long way since the new owners took on the business earlier in the year (still trading as 'A caterpillars dream' at that stage). Hoping to be more impressed next time we visit. More dedicated Vegan menu items would make that more likely, approximately 40% of the menu is currently Vegan, with more items being able to be made Vegan upon request.

Better than VG - Edit
This cafe is where the 'Caterpillar's Dream' cafe was. They closed, and there was a revamp of the menu and the name.
Read moreV-Series is a lovely place to meet friends, or read a book. Lots of tables to occupy. Calm decor and great service.
Food is lovely. Dumplings are raved about. I had a chicken schnitzel sandwich which was lightly grilled with salad and mayonnaise (all vegan) for lunch when I visited recently. It was tasty. There are lots of sweets to chose from, including cupcakes and yo-yo biscuits. Most items are vegan.
Prices are reasonable. Room for prams, and gluten free options also.
Leos supermarket in the same strip of shops also - for your vegan shopping.
Pros: Many vegan choices
Cons: overlooking a carpark
