Amazing! - Edit
We went there for lunch and everything was so delicious! I wish this restaurant was where we lived. The staff was very friendly also. We ordered so much food just to try. Loved the Mac-n-cheese, fried Mac bites, cheeseburger fries are to die for!, animal style burger, Crunchwrap and chicken sandwich. We may have to come back to Louisville just to eat here!

If you ever find yourself in Louisville, KY this place is not to be missed. We've eaten in vegan restaurants across the US and this place is hands down one of the best! Bonus, they have real southern sweet tea.

The best in town! - Edit
The Crunchwrap supreme was the coolest thing I’ve gotten ata restaurant in a long time. I haven’t had one from Taco Bell in years so it was the ultimate throwback. The chips and queso are utter perfection!!

Very Good - Edit
It was excellent, husband and I enjoyed. Mostly the Mac N Cheese bites. It’s a unique menu with items you don’t see as a vegan often, Philly cheesesteaks. Fries were seasoned to perfection.

Phenomenal food! - Edit
V-Grits is one of the best vegan restaurants I have had the pleasure of trying. The cheeseburger fries were mind blowing, and you haven't lived until you have tried the mac n cheese bites! Staff are great and making recommendations as well, including the best on tap pint to pair your meal with. Be sure to try a fresh baked dessert afterward! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Southern comfort 100% Vegan - Edit
The concept is great: take time at an ordering station to review the menu; place the order at the register; and have delicious, innovative cuisine brought to your table. The food is delicious. We enjoyed a seitan wrap filled with salsa verde and corn chips; also a bowl packed with tofu, chilled broccoli and a cheese sauce and grains - the kitchen didn’t overload it with grain at the expense of the other ingredients.

Great comfort food - Edit
This place was a stellar find! The ambiance is great, and it's not too hard to find. There is ample parking. The staff are helpful and very willing to answer questions. The menu has a lot of different comfort food, like Mac and cheese, hot sandwiches/burgers, and various baked goods. I ordered a patty melt with a side of Mac and cheese, a cake, and ice cream which totaled about $24. I'll definitely visit again when I'm passing through Louisville. :)

Tasty Brunch! - Edit
This morning was out first visit to V Grits and we absolutely loved it! We got the chicken and waffles and the brunchwrap supreme. Both of them were so tasty! I would also like to say that all the vegan biscuits I have had in the past are gross but my biscuit here was delicious. I can’t wait to visit again so we can come here again!

Comfort Food - Edit
The staff greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome! The menu was explained to us. The food was prepared fast and correct! I ordered the Philly CheeseSteak with fries and hubby ordered the Gyro. I also ate a piece of delicious vanilla orange cake. The beer options were of a large variety and tasted great!

Hipster vibe, good eats - Edit
Had a Budda Bowl that was so delicious! I was expecting it to be hot (temperature wise), but it is a cold dish. The spicy tofu and the pickled cucumbers were the best part of the bowl! The restaurant is inside a brewpub, so it has an industrial/hipster vibe.

Good food/cafe style service - Edit
Food is good! I wish the atmosphere was more welcoming/warm? Cafe style ordering and seating which is not what I was expecting. Got the pizza Mac and cheese and it was delicious, huge portions so I had plenty for lunch the next day as well. My non vegan bf liked it too! He said he would be down to go back so I consider that a win! Lol.

Okay... - Edit
We were very excited to visit VGrits, and have had their food truck burgers before (which were delicious!). Unfortunately I was not that pleased with the food at the restaurant. I had The Junebug- which is chicken fried steak, macaroni, kale salad and baked beans. The Mac and cheese was very bland, chicken fried steak was cut too thick and placed on a piece of wheat bread. The kale salad was okay but did not go with the rest of the dish- it was very sweet/spicy. The baked beans were also sweet. Something savory like collard greens would have been a better side. I did like the gravy. My husband ordered the Hot Brown which was mainly deli sliced tofurkey, cheese dip and tomatoes over wheat bread toast. He said it was okay but relied too heavily on the tofurkey. They were out of most of the ice cream toppings so I opted for plain vanilla cone. It actually was great and made in house! We are from out of state and were pretty disappointed that we made the trip.

Delicious food! I have a hard time picking what to get when we come into town because I love so many things! My favs are the crab cake Mac and cheese and the Cuban sandwich. Also love the chicken and waffles. The desserts are good, the beer, everything! And I’ve always had great service.

My partner and I love checking out new vegan places as we travel about the country, and as we were driving from Columbus, OH to Birmingham, AL we wanted a fun place to stop and eat. This place in no way disappointed. Hamburger loaded Mac and cheese was incredible (we got the flight and tried all three- the mushroom bbq one was really awesome too), the Mac and cheese bites were also amazing...gyro was great...Oh and the cheese grits were really flavorful and good. I don’t think you can go wrong here. But if I went back I’d go with the full size bowl of the hamburger loaded Mac. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
