Veganizable Omlettes and Scrambles - Edit
Omelettes and scrambles can be make w plant-based egg for $2.50 upcharge (on @ $15 starting price). Soy or oat milk available. One of a few places open early in the area. Seems popular with the local police force. No plant based huevos rancheros available when I visited and no vegan sausage like at the Hawthorn location.

average and expensive - Edit
not very many vegan options, and available ones are not labelled clearly. i saw the reviews saying the panini was amazing so i was excited to order it, but it was very average and falling apart, was quite expensive for what it is. the plate was mainly salad to make it seem more worth it - but it’s not.
Read morealso ordered a matcha latte and they over sweetened it and didn’t ask what sugar level when i ordered.
also infused cold water is available but in single use plastic cups which is incredibly wasteful.
Pros: relatively tasty
Cons: expensive , lacks options, wasteful

Every cup of coffee is a work of art! Lots of alternative milk options including oat, almond and soy. I even spotted pistachio milk.

Tasty! - Edit
Found this (very popular) location on the last day of our stay in LA. We tried the green rose boba (iced) and tofu mushroom toastie- both very tasty! The boba wasn’t too sweet, service was relatively quick.
Read moreA bit overwhelming, I wouldn’t recommend here if you want a relaxing break but if you don’t mind a bit of bustle this might be your vibe. Nothing vegan pastry/cake-wise when we went unfortunately!

Few options - Edit
Had the portabella sandwich, decent amount of vegetables w/ spinach salad. The vegan chocolate cake was a bit dry and thick.

Nice spot - Edit
The few vegan options are really good. The chocolate cake is vegan and it’s so good. For their drinks, they offer a variety of plant milks.

Very, very few Vegan Options - Edit
I tried the vegan panini here and it was absolutely amazing like mind blowing yummy but it's the only entree item you can order off the menu! It comes with a small salad and olives with a vinaigrette you could die for. (I think there was one or two vegan side items possibly...) Pesto and mushrooms and all sorts of deliciousness on the panini. It's a great portion size but I'd think it was so delicious because of all the oil covering the ingredients haha. My fingers were oily by the end of it but I'd definitely grab it again every so often. I also tried an earl grey boba which was the best boba I've tried in LA so I have really fond memories of this spot. They have mylk substitutes and the flavor was delicious. The desserts look amazing but I just wish there were more vegan options!! It's a beautiful spot and seems constantly busy so I'd call ahead or choose a quiet time to sit and relax outside.

I have no idea why this place is popular - Edit
This is like a Denny's with no wait service? I don't get it. Bad coffee. Barely anything vegan. Took about 15 minutes to bring out toasted bread. It's very popular in LA but I suspect that's 100% due to branding. This chain should be removed from HappyCow IMO.

Great coffee but no vegan food I like - Edit
Once or twice Yrs ago they made me a great vegggie sandwhich on sourdough but when I tried it again it was disappointing. The vegan cake is way too dense. Pls stop calling the vegan choc chip cookie the World's Best, it is far, far from that. I admire their consciousness in the coffee dept, but to be really conscious, it ought to carry thru on the menu, there ought to be LOTS of vegan options, and there aren't. But nice decor & concept.
Read morePros: organic, fair trade coffee, nice atmosphere, efficient staff, good mgmt
Cons: next to no vegan options, the options they have are poor, vegan desserts are poor

Pretty ok - Edit
Pretty good, though few vegan options in the way of food. The one sandwich that could be vegan was tasty, and the cookie was ok. The service was great, and I like the ambiance, so vegans, consider this place for hanging out and having coffee, but maybe go somewhere else to eat.

Great Food, Counter-Order and waiter delivered - Edit
I went the Urth Caffe on Melrose Avenue while on vacation. This is a great little place with really tasty food. I ordered the mediterranean plate with "grilled artichokes, feta cheese, grape leaves, hummus, tabouli, roasted peppers and mixed olives garnished with mint, basil and pure olive oil served with pita bread" We had to wait in a line to order our food, and luckily the wait staff found us an available table out on the sidewalk. The wait staff also delivered our drinks and food and were there to get anything else if necessary. It was packed with a lunchtime crowd on a weekday and we ended up sitting pretty close to other diners, but really worth it.
