On The Go - Edit
Visited a city Park and this restaurant was near to my location. It was a on the go food place with comfort food such as mac & cheese, beans and rice, sweet potatoes and more veggie sides. They also make juices, dessert and fruit salads at this location.

A small take out spot with a few tables. My first time here: jerk chickn’, Mac n cheese, collard greens and dirty rice n beans were terrific. Will definitely return!

Get eggplant and jerk tofu! - Edit
Pay by the pound amazing vegan food!
Read moreHere's what we got:
-The eggplant (stew?) was the highlight--it was like fried eggplant in a sauce. So rich and flavorful--all eggplant loves must experience.
-The drummies were GREAT as always, if you are a meat eater you're gonna find it amazing how they turned a simple plant protein into a drum stick with such a high payoff.
-The collards and quinoa fried rice did their job, nothing beyond what you'd expect but very good. -And the real surprise was the jerk tofu. I'm not a big fan of jerk seasoning--usually it's too bitter for me. But this was savory and delicious, and the texture of the tofu (or was it chick'n?) had a density that made it heartier. It was very filling.
My partner and I got the big plate and shared it. I wish they had instructed us that it was pay by the pound style, but even so it came out to some $27 and offered 3 very filling meals for us.
Pros: Lots of flavorful options, Very filling
Cons: Service was strugglz

Great vegan soul food restaurant - Edit
Excellent selection of different dishes. I had the mac and cheese, barbecued beef, chicken, plantains, and rice and beans. All were really tasty. You can choose any items you like and are charged by the pound ($9 or $10)

Delicious - Edit
Food was delicious and filling.
Read moreIt is a bit pricey. The price is based on weight. If you're not getting pricey options, like veggie meat, it may not be worth it. (Still worth checking out IMO.) Average price for me was ~$14.

If you enjoy stick to your ribs, seasoned, satisfying, flavorful food - come here. If there’s no seating and it’s nice weather, the park is around the corner so you can eat outside. Always friendly and energetic folks here. They often have a great day-old pastry basket for 1-4$ per item. Also a juice and smoothie bar and cakes and other deserts in the back by the register. A second and third location opening soon!

For Harlem Restaurant Week, they had a deal: one meat, one starch, and one veg for $12. Everything I had was delicious -- vegan jerk chicken, chili, and rice and peas.

This is a small place with great vegan options. There are only two seats, by the window, so it's more of a takeout place.

Filling and delicious - Edit
This is a small place, with lots of food. You order at a counter; mainly asking the server to fill a plastic bowl with a selection of vegan proteins, starches, and vegetables; they charge you by the weight. They also have some other things, like patties and pastries. There is some functional outdoor seating, though this place seems most suited for takeout. (For more relaxed sit down eating nearby, Jordan Pie is a better bet; for elegant dining in Harlem, Seasoned Vegan is the best choice.)
Read moreI ordered the BBQ drumsticks, sweet potato+ yams, and collard greens, plus a patty and cornbread. All was very tasty and very filling, for a reasonable price.
Pros: Good value, friendly staff, Tasty food
Cons: More for takeout than sit-down dining

Amazing vegan food in Harlem - Edit
I remembered hearing about this place and meant to stop by to check it out for a while. While randomly walking along with 125th, I passed it and knew I needed to try it. I was not let down. The food was amazing and there were tons of things to try. Easily the top 10 vegan food I've had in my life. I got the stir fry chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens All were delicious. It's weighed by the pound and the pricing isn't too bad. I got an extremely large portion for around $14, no complaints. Will defiantly be coming back.
