Lovely Cafe - Edit
I have been here countless times and I adore it. Their giant sliced multigrain bread is vegan! I get their garden veggie sandwhich (minus the mayo and cheese) or garden veggie soup. Also on thursdays they have pizza and recently added a vegan version with V cheese and sausage! So delicious and fresh! Not too many other vegan options. Decent prices.

Great find! - Edit
I was so happy to find this vegan-friendly spot in an area with so few options. I wanted to order everything vegan on the menu— soup, sandwich, panini, salads, and even a vegan pizza with cashew ricotta.
Read moreIn the end I went with the Mediterranean panini with vegan cheese. The eggplant in this sandwich was excellent but for some reason it didn’t come with the other veggies, and the waitress charged me extra for the vegan pesto.
I also tried the garden vegetable soup, which was excellent.
Overall, a good experience, definitely a must try for any vegan in the area.

Lots of options! - Edit
We were in Fredonia for a college tour and I was glad to have this restaurant as an option in a small town! Upper Crust appears to have at least one vegan soup each day. I had the garden veggie soup and Buffalo eggplant sandwich. Soup was a little too salty for my liking, but piping hot with thick chunks of veggies. I thought the sandwich was creative and delicious…it’s hard to find a good vegan sandwich, especially one served hot. One downside…the cashier needed to check that they had a few items still available at 11am (both vegan and non-vegan options)…fortunately all items were still available.

Two Words: Mediterranean Panini!! - Edit
Upper Crust’s Mediterranean Panini is one of the best sandwiches out there. Just ask for vegan cheese to replace the mozzarella and Asiago, and you’re good to go! I also highly recommend adding avocado for a creamy textural contrast. While you’re there, also check out the build-your-own Salads and Warm Bowls, their wonderful veggie soups and salad dressings, and the addictive vegan cookies (the Oatmeal Supreme and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk are particularly spectacular)!

While Upper Crust isn’t a completely vegan restaurant, they have made great efforts over the last couple years to include many vegan options on the menu. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious!
