Always there, but often not great - Edit
This is actually not a single restaurant, but many, but they all follow the same concept and are similar in quality and variety. I have been coming here occasionally for years to eat as a guest. It never tastes great, but it's cheap and consistent.
Read moreMy main issue with the university restaurants is that the vegan options aren't always obvious. They are always available, but they are not always on the menu. It's often the case that you need to ask the staff to serve you whatever surprise dish they have prepared.
When the vegan option is on the menu and, consequently, the buffet. It can be difficult to be sure of what you are getting, as the food labels aren't obviously connected with what's available. So you end up trying to match the descriptions with the variety of slops in front of you.
Pros: Cheap, Reliable, Knowledgeable staff
Cons: Low quality, Surprise factor, Taste

Everyday choice of vegan meal at buffet - Edit
The Carelia restaurant offers one vegan option that differs each day. For a couple of Euros, you can get a proper lunch or dinner with your own choice of salad and main meal. From wraps to curry's, there's a lot of choice throughout the week and the meals are usually very tasty and filling. In addition, you can choose fresh bread with margarine or hummus as well.
