Vegan paradise! - Edit
Everything about our experience was brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, our burgers were delicious (I had the gluten-free bun) and the loaded cheesy fries were honestly the DREAMIEST! I've been longing for more of them ever since we left ..! Kudos to the incredible chefs.
Read moreWe had the 'I love Ewe' cocktail and the 'Piers Morgan's tears' cocktail (a must!). Both were great!
They even brought out a birthday brownie for my friend's 40th birthday weekend... such a lovely touch! On top of everything the vibe of the restaurant is effortlessly cool and just a lovely place to be.
Special thanks to all the hard-working staff there! Also thanks to the legend that is Ed Winters.

Great place - Edit
This will be our second trip to Unity diner and it was lovely! We ordered the Mac n cheese, cheesy fries, tofish bites and my daughter had the mocktail mojito which she loved!
Read moreIt’s nice to just go for ‘fish’ and chips now and again. The chunky chips were amazing. Lovely and crispy.
We also ordered the chilli calamari which was ok quite rubbery. I think if you wanted mock meat/fish and wanting to support a great cause then this is really good for it.

Unity Diner - Edit
Food is delicious. I had the tofish and chips and they nailed the taste and texture. Sometimes I find vegan seafood to be too fishy but this manages to nail that balance of getting an authentic taste without it going overboard. I followed it up with the salted caramel cake which was amazing, well worth the money.
Read moreOnly issue I had was with one staff member, he made a couple of comments which, while I doubt they were meant maliciously, made me feel a bit self conscious. Such as commenting "oh you're on your own then" which made me feel like he was saying something is wrong with that, and mentioning I finished my meal quickly as though I chucked it down or something. He didn't need to say these things and it made me feel a bit self conscious like I say. All the other wait staff were lovely though and this didn't put a damper on my experience.
Pros: Delicious!, All vegan
Cons: Unnecessary comments from staff, Expensive, but worth it for a treat

Great food - Edit
I decided to have three small plates and a mocktail. You can look at the menu online but then someone comes to your table. I ordered the tofish, calamari and the fried corn. The tofish was amazing. I thought the calamari wasn’t as good as some I’ve tried but it was still nice. The corn was well cooked and I enjoyed it a lot. I ordered a piers Morgan tears mocktail. I was happy to see a number of mocktails on the list. This looked pretty and tasted nice. I didn’t have room for dessert. Service was great and staff nice.
Read moreTables were a little close together but that might just be me. I just feel awkward when trying to get out from behind a table and you’re apologising to the table next to you in case you bump it.

Must go in London - Edit
We tried several small plates and main dishes. Unfortunately we were too full to try the dessert. Overall is was very good, with some okay dishes (such as the gnocchi, calamari) and some outstanding ones (the Mac n cheese, the steak, the burgers, the loaded fries). The steak was very impressive. Would love to go back and try the dessert as well that looked delicious

Food not great - Edit
Such a shame and feel bad saying it but the food really isn’t great. It’s all meat and fish imitation (laser printed steak?!) and sadly isn’t up to scratch. I went for the glazed tempeh and it was a cold lump of nasty tasting mush with a side of raw onion! The poor waitress was serving the entire restaurant alone. Pudding was nice.

Great atmosphere, great food, great staff - Edit
Staff was super friendly, motivated and seemed to really enjoy working there.
Read moreTofish & Chips were great, albeit a bit greasy. I waited less than 10 minutes for it. You get a glass of tap water for free.
I was super hungry and expected to need desert or more fries on the side. Tofish & Chips + Orange Juice was enough for me though.
I visited on a Saturday at around 6pm. Was lucky to get a seat at the bar. A couple came 20 minutes later and had to take their food to go. I don't know about other days, but on a Saturday a reservation seems recommendable.
They play music (atleast on Saturdays), which makes for a great atmosphere, but makes communication a bit more difficult.

Fab! - Edit
Finally got round to trying Unity Diner and it didn’t disappoint. The tofish and chips was delicious, the wine was fantastic and the chocolate and caramel cake was amazing (although the portion was huge!). Meat substitute focused menu which isn’t to my usual preference but still loved it here.

What a nice place! Dining alone is not my favourite thing, but eating good food & watching the busy kitchen was fun. As a Norwegian, I can approve the "kod". The staff was also very friendly, thanks!

Good fun for a good cause! - Edit
The ambiance, beverages, and mission statement of this spot are what earn top marks. The food was solid too. Tofish and Chips with Mushy Peas was shockingly fishy, but nice if you're in the mood for it. The 3D steak was bang on texture wise. Piers Morgan's Tears is a fabulous name for a delicious drink. Croquettes were nice as well.

All about the meat substitutes - Edit
Nearly every menu item included a meat substitute whether it is the 3D printed meat, cod, pork, lobster, shrimp, etc. Personally I’d rather just have imaginative veggie options so not really my thing. However, loved the vibe and the cocktails - Piers Morgan’s Tears 😂

Was ok - Edit
Was ok, food wasn’t brilliant, I’ve had better examples of it’s kind but they are 100% vegan and support their own animal sanctuary.
Read moreBeing critical about the food: the tofish bites were very greasy and the steak burger wasn’t anything special, wish I’d gone for the beyond rather. The chunky chips were amazing though. Friendly staff. Dog friendly.

Loved the fish n’ chips! The food was fresh and the best I have ever had. I went back the next day and ordered a burger and onion rings and it was tasty! The cake was moist and good, but I’m just not a huge chocolate person.
