Tasty vegan Chinese with ample portions - Edit
I recently went to Unit Su Vege in Philly. I loved the vibe here accompanied by friendly service. I went with the sizzling tofu claypot with brown rice.

90% Plant-based - Edit
Unit Su has a myriad of unique plant-based options from stir fries to desserts. Our waiter was on it and we enjoyed their lunch specials. I had the eggplant with tofu which was fantastic. If I would describe their food with one word it would be delicate. The flavors don't punch through but are unique and delicious! For dessert we had the little pumpkin sesame balls which were also quite yummy. The waiter said that 90% of the menu was plant-based so there are no shortage of vegan options for people to choose from!

This place has a pretty big menu and the vegan options are clearly marked - there are plenty. The restaurant is spacious, there is a restroom.
Read moreI had the sweet black sesame buns and the stir fried peapod leaves. All delicious. Portions were generous and prices were good.
I only wish it was fully vegan.

The food here was so good. We were doing a food crawl so we had just ate not too long before this place. So many options and not enough room in my stomach! Would recommend to others.

Great Vegetarian Chinese restaurant - Edit
This place always satisfies my craving for Chinese Dim Sum! Most of their menu is vegan. Affordable prices and nice people. As a Chinese who loves spicy food, I personally wish they had spicier dishes made with Szechuan peppers.

Amazing! - Edit
This has been on my list forever and it did not disappoint!! We ordered a ton of dim sum and two entrees and everything was wonderful! I couldn’t pass up to chance for Peking duck, which the friendly server even explained how to eat. 11/10 and can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic and worth visiting - Edit
One important note: the Peking duck is listed as vegan on their online menu as of 04/2024 but it actually contains a small amount of egg. Some of the menus in the restaurant have been marked to reflect this and some seemingly haven’t been. It *used to be* vegan and they apparently hit supplier issues. :(

Pros: Wide selection , Great and helpful staff
Cons: Online menu isn’t fully up to date :(

Order the Golden rings! We’ve been there a number of times and have tried many different plates-all were great! The sizzling tofu was simple but delicious. And the Gen tso seitan has vegan option-so like a chicken, it will blow your mind. Shumai and the Shanghai dumplings 👌

Wow! (DoorDash Delivery Order) - Edit
Didn't really expect much here, considering the other vegan chinese places we've tried in the area. But this blew us away! The General Tsos Tofu and Chow Mei Fun were absolutely incredible, and both are vegan (and peanut free) as is! Called in to double check a couple of allergies and the worker was super kind, helpful, and even offered to help us come up with solutions for dishes we couldn't eat.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
It’s nice being able to order most things on the menu, but nothing we had stood out to me as being something I’d particularly want to order again. To be fair, I ordered through a delivery service so that does lessen the quality of the food somewhat (the ribs, for example, might’ve been crisp if I’d had them in restaurant). The prices were not terrible compared to many of the Philly restaurants I tried while visiting.

A delightful experience - Edit
We ate at Unit Su Vege in Philadelphia for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it! It is an entirely vegan/vegetarian Chinese restaurant with the majority of items being vegan. They also have gluten free items, too. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Although my husband would have preferred his dish be spicier, he still really liked it and agreed that it was a place he would like to come back to eat at again.
