Serves meat, vegan options available. Local coffee shop with a largely plant-based food menu and has oat milk as dairy-alternative option for beverages. Find vegan pastries, avocado toast, peanut butter and banana toast, several salads, chia pudding, and grit bowls. House-made flavors are mostly vegan including the mocha sauce. Open Mon-Fri 7:00am-7:00pm, Sat 8:00am-7:00pm, Sun 8:00am-5:00pm.

Lots of Veg Options - Menu is Marked - Edit
Undercurrent is a vendor in Optimist Hall. They are primarily a coffee shop, but have some healthy food options as well. The menu is clearly marked with items that have a vegan option. I happen to also be gluten free, so I inquired what could be done for both restrictions. This really confused the server. I was told what was individually vegan and what was individually gluten free. When I asked again what was both, I was told she didn't think there was anything. I ended up settling on the grain bowl, because it was already gluten free and they could remove the cheese to make it vegan. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't very filling for a $13 meal. For those that aren't gluten free, you'd have plenty of options like avocado toast and a variety of baked goods. On odd thing is that they don't have drinks that aren't coffee or hot tea. I ended up convincing them to put a hot tea on ice for me.
