Best Cafe in Saugatuk - Edit
I admit, I found Uncommon Coffee Roasters on social media and that prompted me to visit. I did not even know at the time that they are a vegetarian cafe.
Read moreFor being a vegetarian cafe they have my respect. You would think it would be easy to accomplish, but most cafes fall short of not selling any meat. Uncommon also is very selective with the sourcing of their coffee beans, and they incorporate fair trade practices, which is awesome - especially considering that the prices do not seem to be affected by this business practice.
I confess that I am not a coffee snob. Or, I should say that I do not even drink coffee, so I am not a good reviewer for the taste of coffee. I can say that the tea I ordered was great.
The building itself is a cute converted old house, so there are not many in-door seating options; however, there are a plethora of relaxing outdoor seating. Check out Uncommon if you are in town.
Pros: Vegan milks, Cute atmosphere, Ethically sourced coffee
Cons: Not entirely vegan, Not many in-door seating

It’s an option - Edit
The staff was helpful answering my vegan related questions. The coffee was tasty but that’s about it. The only vegan option they had the day I went was a pumpkin muffin

Vegan drink options - Edit
Went here twice while I was in Saugatuck, July 2022. They have soy milk (I think almond or oat too), which is my nondairy preference. They were out of any vegan pastries the first time, but the 2nd time there were vegan carrot cake muffins which were delicious. The menu had a chickpea salad which you could get on a sandwich, but I never ordered one so I'm not sure it was in stock.

Delicious Dessert - Edit
We like to stop here to see what vegan dessert options they have. The flourless chocolate cake has been our favorite. Sometimes they do sell out of vegan options and typically only have two, maybe three.

Good Coffee & Vegan options Available - Edit
Great coffee options and had milk alternatives available.
Read moreThey also had several vegan treat options but we did not try them. They also had oatmeal that I would expect could be made vegan.
The coffee shop was cute and it had a really lovely back yard that was perfect to relax and read it. Definitely a great spot!

Great cold brew, but didn't see organic as an option. Got a delicious vegan carrot cake muffin and green smoothie.
