Cozy restaurant near main square. The spices on our dishes were on point and the teas were traditionally prepared and delicious. Slightly expensive, though.
They know how to cater for vegetarians/vegans - menu was well labelled. Had a really interesting and varied range of vegan and vegetarian starters. But there were only two veg mains, which were standard - vegetable couscous; and vegetable tajine. However they were accommodating and were able to turn the starters into mains on request so that was sorted. I had goats cheese filo parcels with fruit purée, which was quite sweet but interesting and satisfying.
We got there in the early afternoon and almost every veggie option was gone. The soup was a nice treat and the moroccan salads nice but disappointed that these were the only options left for us to eat.
Un Dejuouner a Marrakech is a treat! It's located on a tiny square off of the Jemaa al Fna and serves beautiful salads, quiches and sandwiches as well as Nespresso cafes and crepe desserts as well as smoothies. They also have a nice tea selection. I was avoiding lettuce in Morocco but I ate the lettuce here and didn't get sick. When you're tired of vegetarian tagines, this is the place to go. They are very veggie-aware: There is meat on the menu, but they know how to cater to vegetarians. The only downside is that it's full of foreigners.
