Vegan options for breakfast & lunch - Edit
We each had the Forks Over Knives vegan breakfast burrito that was finished in a panini press, and it was very good! There was also a vegan sandwich option. Fun place, good service.

Wonderful cafe - Edit
Cute cafe in the nye district, right on the ocean, attached to a neat touristy retail store. Lots of vegan items and everything well labeled. Excellent breakfast sandwiches and coffee, although not impressed with the bakery items, like the poptart.

Owner(?) was super friendly and explained that everything can be made vegan. They use veganaise for all of their meals even non vegan. Breakfast sandwich with vegan sausage egg and cheese was super good!

Yesterday I had the “Forks Over Knives” burrito which is essentially delicious vegan junk food pressed panini style in a tortilla. Very satisfying indeed!

Great vegan pastries and Macchiato - Edit
Best macchiato I have ever had, they give you a choice of plant milks to choose from. Absolutely divine. I also bought their " Toaster" pastries avail in strawberry and marionberry. The jams were perfectly set, and just sweet enough. the pastry itself was deliciously flaky. I also got a donut which apparently was a 4 year in the making recipe. they NAILED it!! Wonderful, light and not dense like some I have had. This is a cake style donut . The only negative I had is ,I feel the sugar icing added way too much sweetness to the pastries overall. But then again, I am just one person and my husband loved his.

It’s a treat to stop here when in town. To have a place with such delicious food and it has vegan breakfast options is something to appreciate. After attending an event, we stopped by the next morning and I wanted to get several things for the drive home. I was excited to see the homemade pop tart was vegan. Ordered two entrees and then got a pop tart and maple donut (not pictured as I ate it before remembering). If it’s a sunny day, grab your food to go and go to walk down to the beach and enjoy!!

Ultralife always has several marked vegan options on the menu and several baked goods in the case such as vegan pop tarts and vegan/gluten free donuts. The staff is generally knowledgeable about veganism. They even have vegan ice cream available!

They have Vegan food options as well as baked goods. Their coffee is quite good also. This location is attached to their cute corner store with all the odds and ends and souvenirs you could want. Great stop along the coast and perfect location close to Nye Beach. Plenty of parking nearby.

This place has a decent number of vegan options. I’ve never tried vegan ham, but Ultralife has this and it tastes literally like a real one. Vegan pesto makes their food even more valuable. Added up lots of extras for free.

I had the plant based bagel and it was delicious, the tempeh and spicy spread on the sandwich were so good. My daughter had the vegan pesto cream cheese in a plain bagel and loved it. The granola for the açaí bowl isn’t vegan though.

Frappes not vegan - Edit
We had their frappes two times because their menu states that 3 of their flavors can be made vegan. After we ordered them twice we were informed that they are not actually vegan. We also had their breakfast sandwiches a couple times and they left off the sauce they second time. I appreciate that they have vegan options but their consistency is lacking.

From the super friendly baristas to the welcoming atmosphere to the wonderfully crafted vegan bacon bagel, this place is charming for sure. The bagel itself wasn't the best over ever had (closer to store bought than New York deli) but it had a good flavor and complimented the filling well! They were happy to substitute red onion for tomato and to switch from a plain bagel to everything for me too. Comes with chips and a pickle spear.

If you're vegan it's likely that this cafe jumps to the top of your "Repeat" list. Try vegan bacon bagel or vegan breakfast sandwich, because we loved it!
Read moreBacon in the bagel has a look of thinly sliced prosciutto, not like greasy overcooked bacon. Marble patterns on bacon are mesmerizing. Flavor - oh, you gotta try to believe it. Sharp salty goodness of bacon without nastiness. That, and fresh slices of tomato, crisp pleats lettuce, and avocado cream are all smooshed between, surprisingly fluffy, bagel buns. I savored every single bite. Oh I'm civilized enough to let my hubby try a bite. Goodness needs to be shared. One bite. The rest was mine.
My hubby chose the breakfast sammy. His first impression? Sausage was perfectly seasoned and really hits him home. This sausage was as good as the vegan banger we loved during our London trip. (Side note: level of vegan food in UK is out of the world!) Waffle is an interesting twist but he enjoyed the sweet & pillowy waffle mixed with spicy sausage sensation.
We sought after this vegan cafe during our OR trip. So glad to go extra miles to experience delish foods while watching ocean waves rolling. Thanks chef. Great job!
Food - On point. Plus, small Grab-n-go options.
COVID care - Eat in OK. Served in to-go style. Somewhat limited space to ensure social distancing.
Atmosphere - Hip, urban, casual.
Service - Polite but not personal; it could well be their efforts to ensure minimum contact for everyone's safety.
Parking - Park free by the museum on Beach Dr (which loops) and walk 30 seconds.
Bonus - Adjacent gift shop is neat.
