Falafel sliders, no beyond

My friend from High School owns this place. Atmosphere is fun, love sitting at the bar. I go when I’m in town. Limited vegan food, the chef (from LA) changed the beyond meat to falafel, you can get tacos or sliders. Nothing innovative here with vegan food. They aren’t interested in the vegan food scene.

You need to specify and double check everything when ordering to make sure it’s vegan.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, love hanging out at the bar.

Go back to the beyond burger 🙏🏽. Add a bun that doesn't have egg wash, include a vegan dessert option and we're good. Even more happy customers!!

If you are from the area please go in and ask for better vegan food.

Only vegan options are Beyond Beef chunks

The menu only has two so-called vegan options— I asked the server— Beyond Beef plant-based burger and “Vegan Beyond Beef Tacos.” Nothing else, unless you wanted to get a $15 salad and hold the cheese, hold the bacon, etc, resulting in only lettuce and carrots. Only the gross fake meat was available as a stand-alone vegan entree. I went for the “Vegan tacos,” but each one only contained a very large solid lump of charred Beyond Beef and about three very small threads of cabbage sprinkled on top as a sad garnish. It tasted gross—I don’t like the taste of the Beyond meat at all, and it wasn’t mixed in cleverly with any vegetables or anything. It was almost a middle finger to vegans by calling this thick lump of imitation meat with three tiny slivers of raw cabbage “Vegan tacos.” Gross meal.

Cons: No real vegan option- only thick fake meat chunks, Gross flavor , Expensive

Great atmosphere

Honestly this place only has a couple of vegan options that aren’t the most creative- and then a couple of vegetarian options. The service is great. It’s fun to be there. The drinks are good. People watching is awesome. Indoor and outdoor seating and a decent selection of NON VEGAN desserts.

Pros: Atmosphere , 1-2 vegan options and gf, Good drinks

Cons: Not highly vegan friendly, Not super progressive

Good vegan options

I was pleasantly surprised to find a place in Ukiah with vegan options! My partner and I shared the Beyond Burger and the tacos with Beyond beef, both excellent. The beer selection is really good too.

Ukiah Brewery for the Win!

VEGAN MENU!!!! This is amazing! We always seek out breweries on our travels, but to find one with a fantastic vegan menu!? It's like finding a unicorn! Food was excellent! We shared the falafel burger - prepared in a fun new way to eat falafel, the Mediterranean pizza with cauliflower crust - SO GOOD! Also shared the braised greens that were delicious! The beer selection was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Thank you on behalf of all the hungry, beer loving vegans!

Pros: Vegan menu located on regular menu!, It's refreshing to show diners ALL food options!, Knowledgable staff

Good Vegan Options!

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place while driving through Ukiah on New Years Day. Not much was open, and I was expecting to have to have french fries and a salad for lunch. But instead, I found some yummy vegan options at UBC. I went for the Falafel burger which came with a really creamy vegan tzadiki sauce, a side of hummus, tabuouli, and olives. My parter got the Impossible Burger. They don’t have vegan buns- so the options were either to have it as a lettuce wrap or on the pita flat break. We also ordered some braised greens that came in a delicious lemony vegetable broth. The staff was knowledgeable about what items were vegan on the menu. We both were really surprised at how good the food was at a non vegan establishment.

Pros: Has solid vegan options on the menu

Cons: No vegan bun option for Impossible Burger

Very Good!

Very good, at least that's what we found yesterday. My wife and I ate there and each had the BBQ Tofu sandwich. It was on whole wheat sour dough toast and had collard greens and pesto aeoli. We thought our sandwiches were excellent. The staff was friendly and prompt. It was not busy when we were there.

The menu has raw, vegetarian and vegan sections and all were adequate. Of course, there's also a regular menu.

We will return again.

Pros: Good food, moderate prices, friendly & helpful

Cons: tables and booths not real comfortable

Totally Great!

I was very pleasantly surprised by my recent experience here. I went with 5 other vegans, and we were treated very well by the knowledgable staff. Our host pointed out at least 8 or 9 items on the menu that were vegan or could easily be made vegan, including a bbq tofu sandwich w/ vegan pesto aioli that was really good. Most of their salads can be made vegan, and they have a decent little selection of raw dishes as well. Several of my friends go the raw zucchini "fettucini alfredo" and it was yummy. I was less impressed by the $14 'macrobiotic bowl' and the $9 strawberry salad I got; it was okay, but not anything special, and I was disappointed that they couldn't make me a smaller version since I was already ordering a sandwich.

Oh and the cajun fries are gooood! Highly recommended.

Overall, the drinks and food are totally great, and they are super respectful of and down for the vegans. Apparently they even offer a number of vegan raw desserts most of the time but the night I was there the only thing they had left was a coconut sorbet.

Anyway, if you're in the area, definitely check them out. The fact that they are all organic is totally icing on the cake. For the quality of the food I'd say the prices are just about right.

Pros: delicious, very vegan-friendly, all organic

Cons: a tad pricey, they were out of vegan desserts, live music is kinda annoying

pearls before swine

A lot of people in this town complain that the UBC's overpriced or the food isn't that good. Fiddlesticks, they just don't know how to navigate the menu. The dinner entrees are obscenely overpriced, but the rest of the menu is great. Several hot vegan sandwich items. But I typically get the soup special. Changed almost daily, they have two soups and one is almost certain to be vegan- and they are usually delicious for a mere $7 a bowl. They now have three respectable raw options on the menu as well. I haven't asked if the beer is vegan, but I wouldn't be surprised. Great atmosphere, like "The Brick" in "Northern Exposure" if you hit it at the right time.

Pros: good people, good food, FREE WiFi

Ukiah Brewing Co.

While passing through Ukiah, we dined at Ukiah Brewing Co. Since our last visit several months ago, they have expanded their vegetarian selections and also have a number of vegan options. The new chef has extensive vegetarian/vegan and raw food knowledge. We found the food to be excellent and the service friendly and would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone.

Pros: excellent food, good selection

Cons: room could have been warmer
