Vegan Thai Spot - Edit
We’ve tried U-Tong via delivery and dine in. Dishes were quite tasty! For takeaway we had the roti with peanut sauce, pad see ew (on the saltier side but still nice), massaman curry (quite decent) and tofu skewers with peanut sauce. For dine in, we had the satay mock chicken skewers, PFC Vegan Drumsticks (batter was crispy), rad-na (you may want to request the gravy to be less salty), pad thai (good if you like something on the sour side) and banana fritter with ice cream (delicious dessert). I had the Thai soy milk tea on both occasions and it was refreshing.

Very friendly staff. Open on Mondays when many places are not, so that’s a good time to try it. Bring cash to get a discount!

An all time favourite - Edit
So lucky to have this place in our local area, have been coming here since they opened - many years ago now.
Read moreThe owners and staff are lovely, you can tell how much they value their customers.
The restaurant is “cosy” (small) and simple but it’s part of the charm!
The menu is significantly more expensive than it used to be, and they used to have a $10 lunch special which is long gone. Still good value though, and restaurants are struggling so I get it.
Have never had a bad meal here. I dream about their PFC vegan drumsticks 🤤 The “duck” and lychee curry is also a favourite.
U-Tong deserves all of the support, go here if you ever get a chance ❤️

Unsure what the last review refers to as this place is fantastic. We were pleased to have visited this restaurant. The options are vast and the flavour was fantastic. The prices were very affordable. We will be returning when we are next in Brisbane. Thank you.

Food is bland - Edit
We have ordered from this place twice now... however we are now choosing to order from elseware and 'veganise' the food as the dishes were universally bland (I mean low overall taste, not low spiciness). Even my partner who normally likes a 'subtler' taste than I finds the dishes wanting. I have eaten vegan Thai food before and know it doesn't need to be like this.

Thai food is my favourite and this place is minutes up the road for me but I always come back because the food is amazing. I could live on the other side of town and I'd still come back. Love these guys, they're always so friendly there too!

Yummy Satay Noodles - Edit
Came back for a second time after a not-so great first experience, and honestly much better this time. The flavours are really nice, and the veggies are super fresh. Would definitely recommend the satay noodles with tofu.

So surprise by your experience, I went there tonight and the flavours were incredible. Better than any Thai food I had in Thailand. I hope you go back to give it another try. It was outstanding to me and my partner

If you like satay I would highly recommend the satay noodles. I’m not usually a satay person, I find it too sickly, but it was fresh and didn’t had a lovely charred flavour as apposed to frying pan flavour that all other fried Thai dishes have that I’ve tried else where. I had the red curry which was huge and delicious. Lots of Thai basil in it which was beautiful x

Absolutely AMAZING! - Edit
Authentic Thai food, the flavour were the best I’ve ever had, better than any food I’ve had in Thailand too! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We had spring rolls to start, full of beautiful filling. I had the veggie red curry and my partner had fried satay tofu noodles. The curry was so fragrant and beautifully balanced. I normally don’t rate fried dishes much as they always just taste of ‘fried oil’ and not much else, but I was blown away by the flavour of the satay noodles, it had a beautiful hint of charred rather than fried, not greasy or slimy at all, just beautifully fresh and flavourful, and the satay was really subtle and light, nothing like I’ve had before, satay is normally super heavy and rich and just tastes of sickly peanuts but this was incredible. Also portion sizes were huge, could easily share one dish between two. 100 stars. You MUST try this place. So grateful I found it on this app 🙏🏽

Nice and fresh Thai food. Outdoor and indoor seating available. All vegan with lovely staff. Offers different levels of spice. Dim sims are hard to go past. Lovely rich creamy curries. The tofu salad packs a spicy punch even as mild.

Best Thai and vegan chicken - Edit
The food here is so authentic! My sister in law is Thai and the food here is as good, if not better than her Thai cooking. Especially love the green papaya salad…and the PFC. Satisfies the craving for fried chick’n. It’s the best I have tasted. Also portions are really big so go really hungry!
