Busy food court place - Edit
This is a venue in a busy food court--lunch can be very chaotic, other times things are not so busy. You order at the counter, then they hand you your food and a plastic utensils and you try to find a seat in the hectic food court surroundings.
Read moreThe food here is pretty good; I give it an extra cow in my rating because of its location. If you are waiting for a train at Grand Central Terminal and have an hour or more, it might be worthy crossing the street to this place. Or, if you work in the area and need to grab a quick bit for lunch, this is also a good bet. This is not so much a place to seek out or to travel to, however.
Pros: Good lunch break location for those nearby, Right by Grad Central Terminal
Cons: Busy food court surroundings.

No more veggie rolls - Edit
They took away the veggie rolls!!! I’m so sad :( Instead I ordered a bowl with 3 sides: tofu w pesto, broc/cauli, and cabbage. The veggies were great, but the tofu was kinda of funky. Great service though, they’re very nice and helpful. I appreciate the vegan option here in the city. 3/5 stars because of the funky tofu and no more rolls.

Meh - Edit
I’m always happy to support the veg places, esp in a huge food hall with many options. I got the pesto bowl and found it a bit bland. Healthy for sure, but my husband got the scallion pancake tofu tacos from Jianjang and I was disappointed I wasn’t eating what he was eating.

Tasty macro bowls - Edit
There are only a few vegan options, but the bowl I got was delicious. Awesome spice combination!

Great for Lunch - Edit
I visited Two Tablespoons twice on a recent business trip to New York and was very happy with the food. It is a bit pricey for lunch but definitely worth it. The portions are large and filling.
Read moreI ordered a macro bowl that included quinoa, herbed hummus, red pepper dip, roasted potatoes and a green salad with dressing. The flavors jumped out at me and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the scoop of hummus. Pairing the hummus and the red pepper dip with the quinoa was genius.
I will definitely visit again when I travel to NYC for business.
Pros: Hearty portions, Flavorful
Cons: Busy venue

Enjoyed Shanghai Express - Edit
Great vegan food at a crowded Manhattan food court. I had the Shanghai Express with dressing on the side for reduced added oils. Communal seating a premium at noon on a Friday afternoon.
