Spoilt for choice! - Edit
Beautiful setting in the historic Adelaide Arcade. The servers were friendly and helpful. There was so much choice in tasty vegan (and vegetarian) dishes. I wanted to sample the lot. But I ended up having The Jailbird - 'Buttermilk fried chicken' (soy, gluten), lettuce, tomato, cheese with housemade aioli and vegan cheese. Delicious!
Read moreMy partner had the Shepherd's Pie -
Vegan mince cooked in onions, carrots, peas, and a rich gravy, topped with a creamy garlic mash and vegan cheese. It was a huge portion, but he enjoyed the half he could eat.
The creaming soda was an absolute treat!
Pros: Quirky and inclusive setting, So much choice, Good service
Cons: Noisy when the joint is jumping

Good dinner option - Edit
The vegan place we reserved cancelled our reservation and this wasn’t far away. You take stairs from the lovely Adelaide arcade. Everything is vegetarian by default rather than vegan which I’d prefer was the other way. We were seated at a table near the back which would have been more quiet than the middle tables.
Read moreThen you order at the counter. I specified everything being vegan every time and asked for vegan cheese. We shared onion rings which were delicious. I ordered the coyote cheeseburger with vegan cheese. They make their own patties here. I loved the chilli on top of the patty and it worked well. Flavours combined well and the vegan cheese was good. My partner had the chilli dog which he liked too.
We both ordered shakes, I had a choc mint thick shake with macadamia milk and my partner had the strawberry milkshake with oat. They are very sweet so be warned but we both enjoyed them.
Staff were lovely and the venue itself is great.
Cons: The eye watering +2 for oat, almond or macadamia

Pretty nice - Edit
Ordered a burger and a thick shake on oat milk. The thick shake was amazing and the burger was pretty yummy too, just wish it was an all vegan place. Was pretty disappointed when I found out it was only vegetarian, so can't give it a higher rating

Much better than the description 😋 - Edit
The homemade burger patties are amazing! The seitan style bacon was a nice addition. The Mac and cheese balls were so good too. I couldn’t eat everything but I ordered big so I could try it. I managed to fit in dessert. Gf options too 🥰. The lemon rosemary gin cocktail was fluffy and delicious. Cool building too. Google maps makes it a bit tricky so go onto the arcade and see stairs to the right, go up and it’s on your left. A bigger space than I thought. Loved it.

Incredible - Edit
Insanely delicious food, wish I had chance to try more of their menu. The mac and cheese was sublime, so luxurious & rich. And the caesar salad was amazing particularly the maple croutons & coconut bacon were so so flavourful. Amazing.

Great option in the city! - Edit
Overall I liked the food but I personally found the flavour of the hotdog a little odd (my partner liked it though). I LOVED the Mac and cheese and would definitely recommend it. Overall it's a good option but I do think there are better vegan options if you're wanting something a bit "nicer", it however is good value for the price.
Read moreI do like that you can make everything vegan but I do feel like maybe the quality between vegan and vegetarian maybe wasn't the same. For the sunday it said "homemade icecream" but for the vegan version it was just 5 scoops of generic vegan icecream which was a bit of a disappointment.

Superb and not just junk food - Edit
My faves here are the vegan caesar salad, Cajun bowl, and sweet potato pie. It’s not all junk food!
Read moreI think they’re very good at bowls and salads so I just wish they did more of them…
Tater tots are something for special though so I often end up ordering them too.
And don’t forget to try the sodas, especially their more surprising flavours. The tummy tonic is weirdly good.

Vegan junk food staple - Edit
Two-bit is a go-to in the Adelaide CBD when I feel like treating myself to something a little less healthy (or not, they make a great salad too). Yummy options, sweet and savoury. I don't usually drink much other than water or tea, but I make an exception here as the soft drinks are fantastic (tummy tonic flavour 👌).

The best onion rings! - Edit
Trying to hold myself back from going there and getting a big serving of the best onion rings is going to be my challenge. I can’t stop thinking about them. We also had burgers and yummy soda’s. The staff were really friendly and I thought the girl at the front was really helpful to everyone who came in. It’s a bit of a hidden place but we’ll worth finding it.

A bit of a trek with kids - Edit
Of course we had to try tbv while in Adelaide. To get here was a bit of a trek with kids. The elevator and balcony are quite tight. We also struggled to get everyone up the stairs and into the shop. (Three under 7)

Great spot - Edit
I went to this restaurant when I was an omnivore beginning to feel guilty about my eating habits. I actually think it was my very first meat-free restaurant! The food and atmosphere were great and the sodas were very unique. I’d be happy to return the next time I’m in Adelaide to try their vegan options😄

Cute space, nice food - Edit
Two Bit Villains is a cute welcoming space, and everything on the menu can be made vegan (or so I was told).
Read moreThe thickshake was delicious and actually had flavour, not just milk with a tiny hint of the flavour you ordered.
The burger was nice, I quite enjoyed it. Not much to comment on it otherwise.
The chicken was, on a taste front, so great. The outside crunchy part was amazing, but the actual 'chicken' itself has a sponge texture, not a 'chicken' one. Again, taste wise, all of it great. It was just the texture of the fried chicken that could do with improving.
I had the tenders with ranch sauce, and I hated it and couldn't eat it (the sauce).
A note on that though- I don't remember if I liked ranch or not prior to being vegan, so it's quite possible I'm just not a ranch person and their ranch is fine to those who do like ranch sauce.
Pros: Lots of seating
Cons: No table service given venue size

Stumbled across - Edit
Bickering our way down Rundle Mall as he thought we were going to the botanical Gardens and I thought we were going to find something to eat before the dreaded 2pm witching hour when Aussie kitchens close. In the end he says WELL, YOU FIND US A PLACE WE CAN EAT AT, because we can never find anything other than side dishes for the vego unless we do our research beforehand. Spotting an intriguing sign that stated "Two-Bit Villians upstairs" we followed the map through the ye olde mall and found ourselves at a proper Cafe with balcony seating overlooking the city hub. They were still serving, and (bonus) is wholly a vego /vegan place that makes pretty much everything in-house. Two tasty fruit sodas (no straws, hard-core!), a pot-pie, a side of onion rings, and a bowl of veg/bean nachos quelled the hangry and provided stamina to walk thru the gardens on the trip back to the van. Win-win and happy to start finding 'our' places in a new city.
