It can be so much more!

I came here because the menu has a lot of vegan options while still having classing diner food that my parents would agree to. When we arrived, there was only one very new and very overwhelmed server and a very long wait for the food. The order didn't come out correctly, mine wasn't vegan and some drinks were missing.

It has so much potential and I realize that local restaurants have been through the ringer the past few years. I'm really hoping they find their footing soon because it is a really charming place with a menu that's nice to read.

Pros: Tons of vegan options, Historic building, local feels, Unique menu items

Cons: Long wait times, Wrong orders, Overwhelmed staff

Better options

We had a poor experience at this restaurant. The waitress was the only server and made it
More than obvious that she was overwhelmed.

The food was sub par and was missing ingredient stayed on the menu.

Pros: Outside seating

Cons: Poor service, Sub par food

Disappointed

Apparently they haven’t changed much since NOGDs review. I thought I’d give them a chance since they do have quite a few vegan options, however despite being a weekday and only 2 other tables we waiting an hour and a half to get our food. I ordered Jenny’s Penne pasta only to end up with a veggie panini. I wasn’t about to send it back and wait another hour. The panini itself was good, but The fries that came with it were over salted and not edible. The owner seemed disoriented and obviously the kitchen is disorganized. It’s sad because it has so much potential and I like to support local restaurants. I won’t be back

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Has a fun old time atmosphere

Cons: Unorganized , Understaffed

Allow yourself plenty of time

We stopped in when they were real empty, it took just north of 1 hour 45 minutes to receive and finish our meal. The food was nothing spectacular; we might give it another shot....I went back in for breakfast and all was well. I got there just as they opened so I was not holding anything against them regarding timing. They quickly served me a cactus, soyrizo, tofu, veggie scramble and it was delicious. I am very satisfied and glad I gave them another opportunity to impress me.

Pros: location

Cons: real slow, update: no complaints

Give it a try

We've enjoyed the meals we've had here. The vegan food is good. The menu is pretty extensive so you've got to poke around for the vegan stuff. Interesting kind of old (looks like it's been there for 50 years) location, but has a lot of modern items on menu. Staff is pleasant, but they need more of them. Mildly to severely understaffed almost every time we've gone.

Pros: Vegan items are good, Downtown

Cons: Mostly flesh-eating menu, Consistently understaffed
