So many options! - Edit
I wish I could give this 5 stars - I felt spoiled by choice of vegan options. As of 12/30/24 there were 17 vegan sandwiches and they were are super creative! We got the Dale Earnhardt and the Ted Geisel and we're extremely happy. It's always impressive when restaurants understand how to work with tofu.

I used to order from Two Beards’ sister restaurant Cherry Deli all the time during the pandemic. Two Beards is downtown and just as good.
Read moreThere is a huge vegan section on their menu. We tried the count von count and the dale ernheart. One was like a tofu reuben and was really good. The other had a black bean patty and a falafel patty and veggies. It was good but a little dry. Definitely needed extra vegannaise.

Best Vegan Deli Options in Town - Edit
Two Beards Deli is never short on options for vegan and vegetarian meals. Under the guise of their fun naming device, every sandwich is named after a famous person with a beard. This gives the establishment a fun, hip pop art vibe in decorum and general mood.
Read moreThe options for vegan friendly sandwiches is really incredible. Looking at their menu right now, there are 18 vegan and 7 vegetarian sandwich options. I do not think there is a restaurant in Grand Rapids that can boast a larger variety of options. And the options are wide. They don't just have tofu, they have blacked or caramelized or seasoned or caprese tofu. Also, this is the only restaurant I have seen to offer not just a black bean patty but a white bean patty as well. I am only dipping my toes into the well of options here. I would be very surprised to hear of someone not being able to find something they desire here.
The downside is that because the menu is so varied, it is difficult for them to keep there esoteric selection in stock. As such, prep a back-up option in case you visit and your first choice is not available.
I recommend the Jack Black or the Andre 3000. Both exceptional vegan sandwiches that make my mouth water just typing about them.

Excellent vegan grilled sandwich selec - Edit
They had a large choice of clearly labeled vegan grilled sandwiches. I had The Allen Ginsberg , my husband had The Andre 3000 - they were delicious. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable on vegan food. My only negative would be the lack of vegan labeled drinks - I only found one, but there might be more. Will definitely come back on our next visit to Grand Rapids.

First off, so many options that are not your run of the mill "veggie sandwich". They have marinated tofu, blackened tofu, seitan bacon, white bean patties, and black bean patties for the "meat" of the sandwich.

Worth the drive!! My husband and I first discovered this place while we were staying in the Holland area with family. We wanted a really good vegan meal and saw their menu online. Decided to drive about 40 minutes to take a chance- worth every mile!! Best vegan sandwiches we’ve ever had. There are so many options! We go back every time we’re in that neck of the woods now.

i wish that you could give 100% five stars to places that only have vegan options but aren't themselves a vegan restaurant. this place is the bomb! so so good. an INSANE amount of vegan options, i've been here so many times and am still trying to work my way through the menu! hands down favorite sandwiches i've ever had, ever. honestly, best fillings between two pieces of bread i've ever had. could not recommend more.

My go-to place in GR. The Woody Harrelson is my favorite wrap. I love the vegan bacon they make! I think they use tofu? The sauce is so good. The Jack Black uses jackfruit as pulled pork.

The vegan menu is huge. Tried the Woody Harrelson and it was really tasty. Vegan bacon was hard to chew but tasty. Only problem we had it was crazy busy and they missed our order of two sandwiches. They served over 12 that came after us. Yeah we sat there a long time before getting food.

I’ve visited the beards a few times and never have been disappointed with what I chose. Last time I visited I had the Jack Black, it was tasty and filling. I had half portion, a full portion includes more stuffed on the same bread. Menu names are creative, restaurant is clean and staff is friendly.
