Awful Manager - Edit
I was at the Turtle tonight for dinner, and heard the manager speaking so horribly to one of the workers. I think it was about working over Christmas, but the things she was calling her employee was workplace abuse. Totally unprofessional and disgusting behaviour by her part. The employees are always so nice and hardworking whenever I’m there, so I was shocked to hear the manager speaking like that. I am a regular at the Turtle and can tell you now I won’t be returning. I do not support employers who abuse their staff.

An Elwood icon - Edit
Thank gosh the Turtle is back! I had their vegan muesli for breakfast and it was delicious - I'm used to muesli at cafés being underwhelming, but this was yum, and came with a whole poached pear and pretty flowers.
Read moreAs a non-vegan café, it doesn't have heaps of vegan options, but still worth a visit.
I highly recommend visiting the Turtle for coffee or a meal, and sitting outside in the sunshine in this great spot on the roundabout.
Pros: Great food, vegan options labelled, Great atmosphere, Iconic café and location
Cons: Not an overwhelming number of vegan options, No itemised split bills (but they do 50/50)
