Wasted my $ here.

I ordered an overpriced Mirchi ka salan with brown rice from their extensive menu. I wonder how many of the menu items the Mexican chefs know how to prepare.

They gave me white rice and the Mirchi ka salan consisted of about one pepper in a bowl of bland unappetizing tan colored gravy.

I've ordered this dish many times before at different indian restaurants and I haven't been disappointed until turmerican. Also I pointed out to the server that I ordered brown rice. She took the white rice back and I waited about 20 minutes for brown rice but it didn't come so I left.

I was really disgusted with this place and I won't be returning. I liked the food when they first opened. Something has changed over there.

Extremely sweet/salty food.

I was surprised with my experience, given the overwhelmingly positive reviews on here. I ordered the vegan lunch combo and a mango lassi. Lunch combo was extremely hit or miss. Most items were either way too sweet or way too salty. Dessert was inedible, and the salad tasted sweet for some reason? Some of the “side dishes” were just plain apples or quinoa. The lassi was probably the best thing of the bunch, and even that tasted overly sweet. Flavors were muted and food was pricy for what I got. Would probably not return.

Pros: Lots of vegan options.

Cons: Overly sweet/salty dishes.

Amazing Indian vegan options

Love this place! My favorite dishes are the tofu fried noodles, tofu tikka masala, and cauliflower manchurian (this dish is pretty spicy though so keep that in mind!). Just specify vegan when ordering and they are happy to accommodate. They also can make a vegan mango lassi which is delicious and not very common to find at Indian restaurants.

Great, tasty, healthy vegetarian food. Always made fresh. Must try.

Love this place. Lot of variety. Not to be missed if you’re in the Detroit area.

Good vegan options!

I give them a lot of credit for having lots of vegan options, including a vegan mango lassi. The food tasted pretty good too! That said, the silverware wasn’t super clean and the employees spoke on the phone while serving us, so the experience overall was mediocre.

Amazing! If you like Indian food, you will be thoroughly happy.

We went here after hiking. There's so many vegan options on the physical menu, make sure to ask for it because the big screen menu doesn't have the symbols.

We got the Vegan Platter, Veggie Uthappam, Mushroom Bhuna, and the Vegan Payasam dessert. All of it was so delicious. This place is an absolutely must try if you like Indian food.

For all this food, we spent $40 between 2 people, and we had left overs for another meal

Nice option

I ordered some food for Christmas table. You can order without the spices if you want, or apart.
They explain you what the plate is about if you don’t know. We just pickup so I don’t know how it to dine in.
My only personal issue is I’m not used to oil when cooking, so I’ve noticed that, but that’s personal.
I will share pictures. ❤️

Pros: Veggie options , Vegan options , Very kind people

Great variety, delicious food

This is an awesome place to stop for lunch in the area. The buffet options are all labeled if they are vegan or not. Most of the items are vegan. All very tasty. The only con about the place is that it could have a better atmosphere, but that is definitely not a deal breaker.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Very tasty, Well-labeled(vegan vs vegetarian)

Cons: Could have better atmosphere.

Excellent Vegetarian / Vegan Food

I was quite pleased with the dishes that were available. Even though the restaurant is classified as vegetarian rather than vegan, most if not all of the dishes that I tried appeared to be vegan. I have visited the restaurant twice; each time I ordered the buffet that is available during lunch, so I was able to sample quite a few things. Please note that the restaurant is closed for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner and is closed Mondays.

Pros: Delicious Food, Affordable, Buffet option at lunch

Cons: Closed in the late afternoon between lunch & dinne, Closed Mondays

Delicious, Spicy Indian Food!

I ordered the vegan platter and it was amazing. Several different dishes and way more food than I could eat! Definitely one of our new favorite spots now.

Yum!!

I had dinner here for the first time tonight. I got the vegan platter. The platter came with several curries, sauces and naan and rice and dessert. Everything was delicious!! I would definitely recommend this place to vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Amazing indian food!

This is my favorite vegan food in Novi! With so many food sensitivities it's hard for me to eat out but at Turmerican this is not an issue! They can easily modify almost any menu item to suit all diet restrictions as well as spice levels! Just call ahead of time and you will be well accommodated. I went with my non-veg (meat loving) family who all thoroughly enjoyed their meals and constantly crave more! I had the Idli-Vada combo that came with sambar(soup) and chutney, I also got a bowl of the Mulligatawny, all were delicious and the spice was perfect. My family all three got the Ginger Garlic Gobi and loved every bite! The owners of this restaurant are super friendly and helpful. If you have any questions just call ahead or send them an email, ask for Jay! good prices as well and lunch buffet everyday.
Definitely a go to place of Novi!

Pros: Delicious, fresh, has lunch buffet, Friendly staff, helpful, clean, Cheap

I was bowled over!

The staff was very attentive to my vegan needs. The manager even came out to see how everything was. Almost all selections are marked with either a * for vegan and a D for dairy. Fortunately, no meat is served here. The vegan platter consisted of 1 serving of soup, 2 chappatis, 1 serving of rice, 1 serving of dhal, 2 sabjis, and a vegan dessert that had lentil in it. The only drawback for some is the the platter is $7.99. However, the taste of the food and amount and variety of dishes served are well worth the money paid.

Pros: Very attentive staff, Increasing number of vegan selections, Convenient location

Cons: May be a little pricey for some people
