My favorite! A must have!! - Edit
I haven’t had a bad thing here- ever! I love the flavors and textures and everyone working there is so nice and helpful. I recommend the cuban tacos or the carna asada plate- every meat eater I’ve taken also lives this place! Anyone coming thru Tucson needs Tumerico in their life.

I love the diverse vegan options. I hadn't eaten a GLAZED donut since I became vegan and they had them and it was de-li-ci-ous. Everything I've eaten there is tasty. This is my second visit, I live in Nogales. I shall return. Next time I'm having the VEGAN Sonoran hot dog. Yes!

Best of Tucson - Edit
This place is fantastic. The food is consistently amazing, and I like that the menu changes often. It's on a chalk board when you come in, and rest assured that everything on it is fresh and delicious. The carne asada plate, al pastor tacos (spicy!), and red chile enchiladas are a few of my favorites. They also serve you complimentary soup before your main meal arrives...I don't usually finish it, because I'm saving room for the main event! Whether you live in Tucson or are visiting, this place is a must visit.

Fantastic! - Edit
This place is fantastic! It is more Latin American cuisine with Mexican influences but VERY delicious nonetheless. The first time we went they had a Cuban sandwich with plantain bacon. It was soo good. The second time tamales with mole which were also amazing. I love that thy serve a very balanced dish. My boyfriend and I have two girls and they have a little section where kids can play which is so helpful. We can actually enjoy the delicious food instead of having to keep our kids entertained once they’re done eating. They can quietly play in the corner. Will come back as often as we can.

Great find! - Edit
I discovered Tumerico in my travels and wow, was it great! The menu changes twice daily, is completely gluten free, and only non-vegan by request. Now that’s a change! The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff was friendly and very informative. It’s my new Tucson fave.

This place is the bomb diggitty. Most orders can feed two if you wanna split with someone. The store is like 95% vegan.

Delicioso and friendly! - Edit
Great food. Super nice people working there. The ambiance is a little rough, but that’s ok for Mexican food. My only concern is that they offered us eggs and dairy cheese. We went there because we thought they were all-Vegan, as they advertise themselves to be. We found it sad that they think they have to compromise their ethics like that. They were packed, by the way, and I didn’t see anyone eating eggs. I hope they go back to being 100% Vegan soon, for the animals sake especially. 😊🐄🐔❤️

Marvelous Veggie Mex - Edit
Wonderful experience that was not only delicousl and nourishing – but it converted one skeptic about vegetarian Mexican food into a believer. The complexities of taste and colour were beautifully presented on our plates. Bravo Tumerico, well done!

Very good food and very welcoming - Edit
Great experience. I was warmly greeted (in Spanish at first, so bilingual) by multiple members of the staff and explained the menu. You get a free bowl of soup and free cup of coffee with your meal. I ordered the Korean Fajitas which were very good. Onion, carrots, potato, zucchini, tofu, tamari-pesto, bell peppers, tortillas, rice, beans, and salad. Menu is all vegan but they do offer cheese and eggs. Everything except the burrito is gluten-free. Great vibe to this place and I will definitely stop again when I'm in the area.

Amazing! - Edit
Loved this place. The menu changes every day (on the chalk board) and they have a weekend brunch menu (they are open on Sunday's). It's all Mexican themed food. The portions are huge and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Everything is vegan, except you can get eggs or cheese, if you want. Everything comes with soup and coffee too! It's a ton of food with reasonable prices.

Love Tumerico - Edit
Loved Tumerico! Laid back atmosphere with amazing food. Although you can augment the vegan fare with dairy or eggs, why would you? The veggie risotto I had was amazing, and my partner's tamale's must have been as well as he did not offer to share his second one with me! I did taste the mole tamale and it was great. We were served with a light but veggie filled soup to start - gratis - which was a wonderful way to settle in to this lively and convivial atmosphere. Our "guide" (the man at the register) was clearly enthusiastic about the menu and philosophy. He was very helpful in explaining our choices, and reassuring us that we were eating no animal products. We had hoped to come to brunch the next day as well, but that did not work out unfortunately as I am sure it would have been great. We wish they were in our town, Santa Fe, too!! Thanks guys!

Delicious and Outstanding Hospitality - Edit
We head to Tucson for a few weeks each winter and just discovered Tumerico. We were greeted by a staffer as soon as we walked in who explained their blackboard menu because it changes daily. They make everything from scratch and it is so fresh and delicious. I had the seeet potato pancakes with prickly pear syrup, papaya, rice and beans and tofu scramble. My fella had Crispy sweet potato tacos with rice and beans, salad and salsa. Absolutely delicious and inventive. We will definitely be back. This place is adorable and has an awesome community vibe too!

Great taste and great service. - Edit
Husband and I went here before hiking. The staff was very helpful: one guy was out among guests explaining menu options to them, and the people seating guests were very attentive.
Read moreI was told the menu changes daily.
I got a dish that had jackfruit which I've never had before and it was very delicious. We got it to-go because portions are large so we didn't want to be over-stuffed when we went hiking. To-go packaging is paper/enviromentally-freindly so that' great too. :)
They had a lot of customers on the Saturday afternoon we went so they opened a second area so there were still plenty of seats. Would definitely visit again.
Pros: Delicious menu, Large portions & everyone gets soup before meals., Very friendly and attentive staff.

Vegan desert oasis - Edit
I come to Tucson every year and am always on the hunt for new vegan spots. This will be one of my regular stops from now on. There is a small menu centered on tacos and tamales. I came with my mostly- veg boyfriend and my omnivorous parents (my dad is not an adventuresome eater). When we sat down they brought us free soup (butternut squash). Everyone loved their meals. We all got taco plates- guacamole tacos, basil pesto tacos and chicharon tacos. The tortillas were especially phenomenal as was their cashew crema. The serving sizes were too much for us but we all ate most of it anyway.

best food we’ve had in Tucson - Edit
My partner and I are from Portland and visited Tucson for a wedding. This is the only really good food we’ve had here that we feel is on par with Portland vegan food. It was so flavorful with unique flavors. I had the nachos and my partner had the carne asada plate. Little pricey but worth it

Fresh Latin food - Edit
Small, order at the counter restaurant with a limited, delicious menu. My eggplant tacos were great, and the portions were generous. My companions had the spinach salad and really liked it. I didn't care for the tumeric lemonade as it seemed to be all tumeric and no lemon.

I tried their mobile cart a couple of times before going to their recently opened brick and mortar location. I have always ordered the tamales which come on a platter with vegetables and beans. The tamales filling and vegetables rotate depending on seasonal availability. This is my favorite spot in Tucson.
