New favorite restaurant - Edit
The menu isn't online because they updated daily, cooking from scratch, and sourcing as locally and organically as possible. The flavors and textures are incredible. we couldn't find the menu online but we called and they texted us a picture of the daily menu. Almost everything is vegan. We had tostadas with squash blossoms jackfruit chicken enchiladas, and tamales with jackfruit carnitas. The saffron latte and horchata latte were great beverages to compliment.

Featured on Diners drive ins and dives! - Edit
Let me start by saying the service here is absolutely excellent. We had the door held open for us and were asked if it were our first time. We were told that everything is made from scratch and the menu is on a chalkboard because it changes daily. Everything is plant based and you can add cheese or an egg if you want to.
Read moreWe ordered: Texas BBQ taco plate, Cuban taco (it was suggested as the best), tamale plate & sweet sunrise juice.
I reallllllly wanted to order the crispy tacos as well but I’m not supposed to be eating fried foods right now due to arthritis and my adrenals.
My husband LOVED his tacos. He couldn’t really choose a fave between the Texas bbq taco & Cuban taco because they were both so good.
I didn’t love my tamale plate, I think it was the potatoes & olives in it. But I’m guessing that if I got the crispy tacos I would’ve loved them. I’d give it a 4.5
It’s also really cool that Guy Fieri was here and they were featured on the Food networks- Diners drive ins and dives tv show. Says a lot! It’s a great place and it was busy when we went.
We would definitely come back when back in Tucson.

So flavorful! - Edit
I have been dying to try Tumerico for years and finally got to try it for dinner this trip to Tucson. I had the tamale plate with the vegan tamales. Would absolutely come back to try more of the menu.

Generous Portions - Edit
Flavors were spot on. I had the Carne Asada - only two tortilla shells are provided, but there's so much food. You need a third shell. It was pricey. Almost turned us away. $18 for my dish alone. There are little less expensive options. Tamales are great! That spinach salad is yummy! Overall great meal!

Loved this place. I got a spicy burrito which was delicious. They also gave us a massive side of beans. The flavors were great, the staff friendly, and the vibes cool.

Super delish, great service and atmosphere - Edit
I went to dinner with a friend and I’ve heard nothing but good things from plant-based friends. I had the veggie bowl and a Pick Me Up juice. It was so good and I’m excited for my left overs. I’m going to try the guacamole tacos next time. And I want to stop in for a latte one day. Super cute, laid-back atmosphere. I will be back for sure.

Mediocre - Edit
The food was okay. I had the Cuban tacos with jackfruit, they were tiny. The beans were just bland. If you want a nice atmosphere go elsewhere, kinda dirty and cafeteria like. My husband and I paid $42 for tacos and fresh juice.....too much in my opinion

Cuban tacos are pure joy - Edit
The Cuban tacos are seriously fire. If I were to choose between my favorite non-vegan taco and their Cuban tacos - the Cuban tacos would win! I will be back!

Amazing - Edit
Loved everything about this place from the food to the ambiance (super casual but beautiful decorations) to the service style. Received food incredibly fast and it was outstanding. Jackfruit adobo was best jackfruit I've ever had. Everything that came with it was amazing too. It seemed like pretty much everything on the menu was vegan except a couple of breakfast items with eggs (but you could sub tofu).

Best vegan brunch in Tucson - Edit
Tumerico is my favorite place for brunch in Tucson. Everything in the menu starts out vegan but you can ask for cheese and eggs. Because of this, It is also a popular place for non-vegans. The food is very fresh and I like that meals come with coffee and a cup of soup. My usual is the Cuban tacos but the chiliquiles and the mesquite pancakes are great too. Tumerico is known for their jack fruit carnitas and I would suggest getting a dish with that in it. A friend of mine orders the burrito which look a bit boring to me but they enjoy it. For Tucson, it is on the more expensive side with a meal averaging around $15. I think it’s worth it.
Read moreThere are now two locations. The original Is located in San Hughes and the new one is located on 4th avenue downtown. The one downtown is smaller place and has a smaller menu and the meals don’t come with coffee and soup. The meals are cheaper though. The porch is nice for people watching if it’s not too hot out.
Added bonus, the staff is always super friendly!

Great! - Edit
I took my non-vegan family here and they all loved it (which is really saying something because last time we went to a vegan place they wouldn’t try anything but the salad)! The restaurant was very accommodating and let us bring a cake for my birthday. I’ve heard very good things about Tumerico and was not disappointed at all!

Very solid Mexican - Edit
Came here for lunch today. Very solid. Not the best I’ve had but well worth the trip. Cuban Tacos were the highlight though I liked the Mesquite Pancakes too. Interesting menu options. Flavours just weren’t quite Zesty enough, given the price, to warrant that fifth cow. Portions are large though

Neighborhood Gem - Edit
I’ve dined at Tumerico frequently. The food and service is consistently good. Wendy, the owner, is a kind, thoughtful, and generous host. The menu items are creative and broad. I particularly enjoy the cafe’s tacos and really appreciate the soup and coffee that comes with the meal. What would I like to see improved? The beans and rice. Unfortunately, those two items always fall a bit short on flavor. Seasoning those two staples would really complete the experience. Great location in the Sam Hughes neighborhood and the restaurant attract a really fun clientele.

Best vegan food in Tucson! - Edit
We loved the Mexican influenced food at Turmerico. I ordered the Azteca tacos, which included huitlacoche (corn mushroom) and other veggies. My husband had the Tacos Al Pastor, which was made with jackfruit, chipotle and pineapple. It was so good I will try to cook it myself! The plates came with Peruana beans, green salad and rice. When I asked for no rice they offered me double salad - how great! We also liked their fresh horchata and kombucha on tap.

Probably my favorite restaurant - Edit
Tumerico is probably my favorite restaurant and I don’t even live in Tucson. Every time we come through town we go twice. Super tasty sauces. Always comes with soup and a delicious little side salad on the plate. The menu changes daily so there’s always something different to try! Everything seems to be vegan but you have the option of adding eggs or cheese.
