Great Indian Food in a Strip Mall - Edit
This is a really great little restaurant tucked into a strip mall that serves delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. It has a separate vegan section on the menu with about eight dishes listed. The vegan bread option is roti, not naan as some of the other reviews stated, but it’s delicious. My omni friends all enjoyed their meals as well.

Who knew I'd find best Indian food of my life on a road trip? - Edit
Stopped in here while passing through and charging my electric vehicle at a local charging station. Wasn't expecting much, just hoping for a few decent vegan options, but wow did this place exceed expectations! We had the Tadka Daal, Channa Masala, Veg Jalfrezy and Baghara Baingain (eggplant) and were blown away by the freshness of the food - vegetables crisp tender (not overcooked), everything else spiced just right. The menu has a dedicated vegan section, and the very friendly and helpful staff member I spoke with was well-versed in veganese and circled all of the items they could veganize - samosa, pakora, dosa appetizers, five of the entrees, and one of the soups. Next time through this will be the destination instead of the afterthought.

Great new Indian Restaurant in Nyack - Edit
We’ve needed an Indian Restaurant in Nyack for several years and Tulsi is excellent. I wanted to give 5 stars but couldn’t because it isn’t 100# vegan. But I like a place where my carnivorous friends can also find what they like. That way it becomes a great choice of where to eat for mixed company.

Cons: Hard to find at first

Great food & staff - Edit
DE-LISH 👍🏽 the menu has specifically labeled vegan entrees and a naan. The veggie samosas can be made vegan upon request.
Read moreThe staff is friendly, helpful, attentive, and accommodating. It’s also nice that once you order some vegan things they “get the hint” and they will make suggestions as to what can be made vegan and they will tell you how (the waiters literally will say “ok, so we will make this with oil not butter”).
Tulsi also has a lunch buffet, but I’m not sure how vegan it is.
Pros: Clearly labeled Vegan options , Friendly & attentive staff
Cons: No baby changing station in bathroom
