Lovely - Edit
Nice restaurant in the middle of rice fields. Went there with my family. There were several vegan options, I chose the vegan burger (patty with mushrooms & I think tofu), which was delicious.
Read moreThey had 2 vegan desserts on the menu. Unfortunately, the chocolate peanut butter cake was not available, so I ordered the tamarillo durian (tamarillo is a fruit and it comes with durian ice-cream). After waiting for about 45 minutes since my daughter had ordered the white chocolate lava cake (they said it would take 25-30 minutes), our desserts arrived. Unfortunately it turned out that the durian ice cream is NOT vegan.
I have the feeling that a lot of times in Bali, when the menu says vegan, they actually mean vegetarian. So I guess it’s better to double check when you order.
After we found out about the mistake, they apologized and brought the bill. They took my dessert from the bill, but they didn’t ask me for example if I would like a drink on the house.
All in all I had a good impression, but I reduce 1 star for the wrong indication on the menu and another star for bringing the bill immediately after finding out about the mistake. They could have handled it better.
Anyway, if you are around the area, you still might want to give it a try.
