We showed up right when they open at 1 and immediately got a seat for 4. Menu and service were in English. Setting was delightful. AC was strong! We were a little hungrier than the portion size, but if we went again it allows you to choose the portion size. Bus stop was just a 5 minute walk away.

Make a reservation to this hidden gem in Kyoto - Edit
Prepare to be captivated by the dynamic ambiance and extraordinary cuisine of this highly sought-after two-person show of a restaurant. With a cool vibe that draws crowds (many people were turned away or told to wait because they could not accommodate everyone) reservations are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as the delightful fusion dishes featuring fresh ingredients will leave you craving more. From the bibimbap to the tofu Korean rice bowl and beautifully crafted vegetable sushi, each bite is a culinary revelation. Don't miss the chance to visit this spot! I would eat here every week if I was a local.

Beautiful interior rich with plants, zero waste operation. My Bimbap was plated in an inventive way and the waitress and chef were very welcoming. I can’t overstate how delicious the food is.

Amazing restaurant! - Edit
Our favorite restaurant so far in Japan! Lovely eclectic atmosphere and amazing Korean food. We ordered the bibimbap and Korean BBQ plate, with homemade ginger & lemon syrup and tonic (with the large jar of ginger and lemon in front of us at the bar), and ended with delicious scones. Service was very friendly and communication in English was easy. A must-do in Kyoto!

Nice atmosphere, good food - Edit
This restaurant is a very pleasant place. The waitress was nice and the food was satisfying although could use a bit more flavour. Had to ask for more salt and chilly. Price is reasonable- we paid about 2000¥ for Bibimbap and Jajangmyeon. Waiting time was long but I assume it is not always like that as she was very sorry and apologized multiple times for a long waiting.

Delicious food and nice staff! - Edit
I had bibimbap and a slice of pound cake. Both were fantastic and the price was also reasonable. I personally felt the normal size bibimbap wasn’t quite enough for me though and if I go back I’d take the larger one.

Best bbq bowl - Edit
The bbq bowl was really good. It was savory and salty in the best way. A lot of the vegan food I’ve had in Japan has been really sweet so it was nice to have something like this. The restaurant also sells some vegan groceries inside

Highly recommend - Edit
Great place to eat!! We ordered the rainbow kimbap, the bbq bowl, and a beer. Our bill was about 2800 yen for all three items. Both meals were so delicious. The faux meat in the bbq bowl is one of the best faux meats I’ve ever had. I recommend visiting this cafe if you are in Kyoto. There is limited seating, but we were able to get a table right away at 6:30pm on a Friday.

Glimmer of hope ☀️ - Edit
Very cosy and syilish place with a good choice of delicious menus. The owners are very openminded and welcoming and speak English perfectly. A great concept and kind of a glimmer of hope in a country that is full of meat and plastic. Highly recommended!

Fantastic zero waste vegan store. Wonderful atmosphere, staff and food. My friend and I didn’t think the portions were so big though, like I’ve read in other reviews. Was nice to eat Korean again!

A must try! - Edit
They had great dinner options and the vibes were the best I’ve come across in Japan! Owned by a cute couple who were so nice and talked with us for a while! They spoke good English and everything was easy to order! The food was so fresh and filling. Also they had so many cute plants in the shop! It’s a smaller space so you may have to wait a little while but they make you feel very comfortable as you wait!

One of the best restaurants in Kyoto - Edit
One of the best meals we had in Kyoto so far. Very kind owners and the dinner was extremely affordable. I highly recommend adding this to the top of your list if you are in Kyoto. The food was very flavorful. It’s a small space so if it’s full you might have to wait a bit but it’s worth it!

So delicious - Edit
Absolutely amazing food and such a reasonable price. Beautiful restaurant with nice atmosphere and lovely owners. English menu and accepts credit card. They do take reservations but we were able to walk in with no wait on a Sunday night. They also have jewellery, soaps, homeware etc for sale which is made from recycled materials. Love the no waste concept. My non-vegan partner also loved the food here. Must try when in Kyoto!

Beautiful - Edit
Such a refreshing place. It was so nice to find this place, the food is all vegan and tasty of course, but I especially loved the zero waste concept. It's an issue close to my heart, and japan sure is a little triggering about it.

best vegan korean food ever! - Edit
If I could give more stars I would. This was so TASTY! I love korean food, so I am very picky when it comes to good vegan korean food. This was by far the best I've ever had, the "meat" was incredibly tasty & the vegetables very fresh. It is a bit more expensive, but totally justified and worth every penny. The owners were very sweet and polite.

Oh my goodness. The Korean BBQ bowl had the best vegan 'meat' we have ever had. Highly recommend eating here! The sushi was also delicious. The restaurant is combined with a zero-waste stop including jewellery and other items made from plastic they found washed up on the beach. Amazing place.
