Pretty good - Edit
Recommend getting here right when they open, as there was a long line when we arrived. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the owners were very kind and attentive. We ordered the BBQ bowl and black bean noodles. The portions were a little small, and the bowl didn’t come with that much chicken. The flavors were nice but a little mild. I recommend this place if you’re looking for something simple and light.

Super good food - Edit
The food was amazing! We tried the BBQ bowl and bean noodles and they were both delicious. The soy chunks were very tasty and succulent. We also had a lemon cake and an orange and chocolate bundt cake for dessert and they were super moist and amazing. Their fermeted seasonal strawberry syrup was to die for; super fresh taste of strawberries🍓 We arrived at 5 pm on a Mondat and had to wait about 40 mins to be seated.

Delicious food, great service, cute place. - Edit
We loved Tu Casa. The food was delicious, the bbq bowl was amazing. Service was great, the two owners are lovely. There was a bit of a wait for a table as we went around 7pm but this is standard for Japan so we weren’t fussed.

Busy but worth it! - Edit
Delightful cafe and low waste store. All the menu items are GREAT, it was busy so we had to join a line and wait, but the staff handled it really well and it was relatively seamless. There was a line all night so definitely expect to wait.

A lovely gem, not to miss! - Edit
This is one of the cutest and heartwarming vegan places we’ve come across in Kyoto! Definitely try as much on the menu as you can, the prices are so fair and every single option on there is made with love. The young couple who own the place are so friendly and you can really feel that they do what they love. You can also see it in how the little restaurant is decorated, everything has a personal touch. And they are so consistent in their approach; vegan food, zero waste, solar panels for electricity, etc etc

Sweet Spot! - Edit
The restaurant is a small spot with big impact! This is a friendly two person operation that seats about 11. There was a wait but worth it! We had the Bbq bowl, Black bean and noodle bowl and Rainbow Kimbop along with Rum raisin cake and Chai milk. Loved the Chai! The cake was good but a bit dry. The dinner items all were wonderful.

I went with two omnis who were both very satisfied with their meals. All three of us took a different dish, all were delicious.
They have soy milk for the coffee.
It is a very small place, but also very cosy.
We arrived at 6 p.m. on a Friday and did not have to wait to be seated.
Pros: Nice people , Cosy, Delicious food

Eating here is an experience! - Edit
I ate here last night before exploring the Gion area. Having been in Japan for over a week, I have really struggled to eat properly as a vegan. The food at Tu CASA, I had noodles in a thick sauce, was wonderful. The owners are lovely people, well grounded and if only there were more people on the planet like them, it would be a far happier place. Thank you for the good food and company!

Sehr leckeres veganes Essen - Edit

Feeling right at home at Tu Casa - Edit
Where to begin? Right off the river, Tu Casa's cosy and warm atmosphere invites you right in and wraps you up in a hug. I had the BBQ bowl which had rice, beans, and salad with a Yuzu sparkling soda. Both dishes were so delicious that I immediately ordered their chai and cake (strawberry earl grey pound cake). The chai was easily one of the best I've ever had and I could eat the pound cake forever. You *have* to go if you have the chance.
