Knowledgeable Staff

I had a friend come into town and he was looking to explore the Atlanta food scene. We ended up choosing Truva. Truva is a quaint restaurant in Downtown Atlanta.

I was really impressed by how knowledgeable our waiter was about the ingredients in the food. When I asked what was vegan he was able to tell me in very extensive detail. The only issue is that there are not that many vegan options. I personally chose the stuffed eggplant.

Pros: Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff

Cons: Not that many vegan options

Ok food, bad service

Vegan / veg options are pretty limited. I had the stuffed eggplant which was quite nice. But the service was slow - 4 out of 5 mains arrived at once, the other didn't come till the rest of us had finished ours. They had to take our drink order 3 times since they didn't have the first two draft beers we asked for. I'd avoid it if I were you!

Nice Vegan Options

I stopped into this place while visiting Atlanta. Looks a little sketch when you first walk in, but the upstairs is nice. I got hummus, rice, steamed veggies and dolmades. It was very good.

Great for a variety of dietary requirements

I went here for a business meeting at lunch with another vegan who is also gluten-free, and with an omnivore who is selective about any meat she consumes. The hostess was very helpful and knowledgeable about the entire menu and details of ingredients to avoid. They also provided substitutions (e.g. crudite veggies instead of the bread made with yogurt). Us two vegans got a mezze plate which allowed us to combine several vegan options. There are also some vegan entrees. Very nice and elegant atmosphere. The restaurant is actually on the 2nd floor.

Pros: Several vegan options, Knowledgeable servers, Yummy food

Cons: Somewhat expensive, but it is downtown, Parking - recommend walking or MARTA
