Worth the visit?

A little cup of fruit juice to cool our bodies under the Penang sun. The sweetness of the carrot and tartness of the starfruit was most noticeable in this. They used a juicer, so most of the fibre was removed; plus, they added water to the mix, making the price point of RM12 expensive. Also, they used disposable cups and placed a plastic straw into my cup before I noticed.

They’re also charging tourist site rates as they offer tours of their fruit farm. It was almost 30-something degrees, so we didn’t book the tour. Besides the extensive menu, they also have a good selection of exotic fruits like papaya, dragonfruit, passion fruits and durian on sale. Behind the fruit market is a collection of homemade kombucha (they called it ‘enzyme drinks’) that you can buy bottles of.

You get a fantastic view from their cafe overlooking the hills. The hot food menu doesn’t look veg-friendly at all, so don’t bother.

Pros: Lots of juices and smoothies on the menu, Fruits!, Kombucha!
