A nutrient bomb - Edit
This is one of the best vegan restaurants I know. I went there a couple of times because it tasted so good. All the dishes I tried were very tasty and the portions were big. The desserts are great, especially the vegan chocolate cake.
Read moreIt is the only restaurant where I experienced something special: the next days I felt energized, needed less sleep, felt full of energy, and my husband felt the same. I had a salad with many ingredients. I believe it is because it included so many nutrients and vitamins that I had more power in the days following.
The cook is very friendly and he cooks right in front of you.
The restaurant itself is nice when sitting outside but inside, it is a little too cold for my taste. The surroundings are pleasant though: monastery plus forests and meadows.
The wines are more expensive than average but the white Frankenwein we had was delicious.
N.B.: I was there in the years 2015 to 2018. I have not returned since. I mention this as the reviewer Wasreinschreiben wrote that Troand is no more what it used to be. It could be, I don't know. But give it a try and let us know! I will check it out myself as soon as I can.

Nice place with good food - Edit
We ate vegan spaetzle and chanterelles with a salad. The food was very good. There are also vegan cakes. You can sit inside or outside. The monastery environment is very pleasant. On some days the bistro has closed, so you should check the website to see if it is open.

Leider nicht mehr das was es war - Edit
Die ersten Jahre nach Eröffnung eine wahrer vegi Genuss. Die letzten Besuch im Jahr 2018 waren leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Das einzig noch gute war der vegane Schokokuchen, der lohnt einen Besuch.

Bestes Frühstück der Umgebung - Edit
Ich komme vor allem zum Sonntagsfrühstück hier her und liebe dieses sehr. Es gibt sehr viel Auswahl, man kann unbegrenzt für einen Festpreis essen und alles ist frisch und lecker. Auf Wunsch werden kostenlos auch veganes Rührei, Smoothie etc. zubereitet. Die Preise sind für die Qualität gerechtfertigt.
