Confused - Edit
For some reason the place they buy their teriyaki sauce from uses gelatin in the recipe. Not sure why any of their vegetarian/vegan options include teriyaki sauce on it or why they would use teriyaki sauce with gelatin at all, even from a non-vegan perspective its just unnecessary.

As a vegan this makes me question and not trust any of their "vegan/vegetarian" options. Just... odd. Even the employee was not aware of this and double checked twice. I asked "does the teriyaki sauce have animal products in it" she said she didn't think so/was unsure and would check. Then came back and was confused because someone told her it did have animal products. This made both her and I curious about what that was and she ended up going and asking and again was just as confused as me about why gelatin would be in it. I asked initially because my gut just told me to. My husband and I have gotten a "veg roll" before and it had the teriyaki sauce and at the time neither of us thought twice about it not being "vegan".
For newbies and people that wouldn't think to ask this is really annoying. Why have an item listed as vegetarian and or vegan when the sauces on the item are not vegetarian or vegan and has to be requested to be taken off and the staff isn't even aware that the sauce has animal products in it.
Pros: Nice staff, accommodating to questions/restriction
Cons: False advertising of vegan/vegetarian options, Ceiling looked like it was covered in mold

While the menu is small, they do have a section explicitly labeled as vegetarian/vegan with a note about asking the server to make any vegetarian roll vegan. And the options they do have are a sincere attempt to be creative and interesting—no plain ol’ cucumber or avocado rolls here! Plus, it’s tasty! For an area with limited vegan options, I really appreciate the effort here.
