Serves meat, vegan options available. Small Vietnamese bakery specializing in bahn mi, with a labeled vegan menu. Has a location also in Collingwood. Reported open January 2024. Open Mon-Sat 8:30am-4:00pm.
Best vegan Bahn Mi ever! Lemongrass Tofu. Would highly recommend. It's a fantastic little shop, with a number of different vegan options. Good service, good prices.
Had heard that this was one of the best banh mi in Melbourne, got the duck and it was super flavourful - very rich, no idea how similiar it is to the real thing as I have never had it. Definitely want to try the other mock meats!!
I love love love this place! Their vegan banh mi is delicious and their ingredients are always fresh. The staff know when you ask for vegan and I’ve never had any mishaps with orders. I also like to bring my own container to avoid the single use wrappers
This place which always has a long queue has at least 4 delicious vegan options including vegan duck, chicken, tofu and eggplant. The duck is especially tasty. Good value as well.
Very few vegan options in Camberwell but this one is the best by far.
For 7 bucks you get a decent sized Banh-Mi with a choice of 1 of 4 mock meats (tofu, vegan duck, vegan chicken, vegan pork), as well as optional crushed peanut and chilli.
Great value for money and delicious.
I found the smell of pork to be a bit unpleasant, but if that doesn't bother you then don't let that stop you.
English isn't their first language so remember to be clear and direct.
There are several vegan roll options including tofu and mock meats (chicken, pork, duck, others). Served with salad and picked vegetables. Very yum and reasonably priced. Only downside is that when you walk in you're faced with a cabinet full of meat. The person who served me was cutting meat without gloves at the time and then used the eftpos machine without washing their hands leaving disgusting meat juice all over the machine. I was glad I could use my paywave from an inch away to avoid touching it!
The chef who prepared my roll did use clean gloves.
