Pizza Lunch - Edit
Lots of flat bread pizza, a nice salad to choose from. They will sub to make things vegan. I was able to take off the cheese and add spinach to my flat bread. Only really bad thing is it was swimming in oil. So much so, I could not finish my meal. Next time I will ask for no oil.

Cons: Tooo much oil!!

Fries, and that’s it - Edit
This place used to have a vegan gumbo option. I’m now a little skeptical it was ever vegan, but the menu now marks it as containing chicken stock. The etoufee has shrimp paste. They do have impossible patties on the menu, but don’t seem to have a vegan bread option. Servers are nice but generally clueless on vegan options. No longer recommended.

Worse experience ever! - Edit
Very slow, poor customer service, and awful food!
Read moreI came here for a late lunch with two girlfriends after walking the river trail. It was hardly crowded, so we were surprised how long it took us to be seated and then to take our order. Not to mention how long it took us to get our food.
Two of us ordered the Cajun rice special after asking the waiter what veggies were in it. He replied, “onions, celery, and bell peppers “.
About 30 minutes after we ordered, our waiter came back and asked us if we wanted to add “a protein” to our rice. We both replied “no, just the vegetables” We were all a little worried at this time thinking that our order was just barely being entered?
You can imagine our surprise when our food came with ground sausage and no veggies!! My friend was really hungry, so ate a bit of hers. But I never eat pork, and I’ve actually tested allergic to it. After finally getting the waiter’s attention, I told them that I am a vegetarian and do not eat meat, especially not pork. They apologized and offered to bring me one with just vegetables. I said “no, my friends are almost finished, and it took over an hour to get our food the first time “ They again apologized and said they would take it off the bill.
After several more minutes, we received our ticket, and they had not taken off my food. When I asked them, this time the waiter was very rude and claimed that he had told us from the start that the sausage was in the mix. Neither of my friends heard him say this, or we would not have ordered it! I told him that we had specifically ordered vegetables only when asked about whether we wanted extra protein. We were never told then that there was already sausage in the mix.
In summary, after an hour and a half of very frustrating service and leaving with an empty belly, I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I agree! I specifically ordered a Cajun veggies and rice dish. I was served rice with ground pork! There were no vegetables to be found, except for a couple of small celery slices. Very disappointing!

Not very vegan friendly - Edit
They do not have many vegan options anymore and many of their veg friendly options contain milk or butter and cannot be made without them. I would not suggest this location for vegans.

My Favorite Spot - Edit
I recently moved to Golden and started going here. Their food not only tastes amazing, but they have veg and gluten-free options for literally everything! It even states on the menu that you can sub any meat--usually with beans, tofu, or sautéed mushrooms. My favorite is their vegetarian jambalaya. They also have great gluten-free beers on tap, as well as kombucha. The manager remembered me after I had only been there ONCE, and remembered that I don't eat meat or gluten. He is incredibly friendly. They have a small, nice, outdoor seating area as well.
Read moreDefinitely my go-to place, and my favorite spot in Golden so far. It's very hard for me to eat out due to my dietary restrictions, but Trailhead makes it easy :)
Pros: Veg options, Gluten-free options, Great service and friendly atmosphere
Cons: NON gluten-free sides to some gluten-free dishes
