Always great. The only downside of TRP is making a decision between the pizza, Stromboli or the meatball sub. All are vegan, filling and delicious.

Must stop! - Edit
This was our second time here trying their vegan items and it was an even better experience than last time! Our server (I think their name was Tenaya) was absolutely amazing! They were very helpful with choosing what to try and just so enjoyable to chat with. I also loved that they asked if we were vegan before telling us the specials for the day. We got the vegan green chilli cheese bread (size of a 12" pizza so just be aware), vegan focaccia grilled cheese, and vegan cheeseburger pickle pizza (SO GOOD). The vibe inside is also really fun! They also have a little bakery section that is mostly vegan! Can't recommend enough!

What a gem! - Edit
We stayed in a somewhat remote air bnb around cedar crest for my birthday, I thought we’d have to go into Albuquerque to get any decent vegan food so it was such a pleasant surprise to find this place pretty close by! We got pizza, a calzone, cauliflower wings, and some delicious brownies and it made a great birthday dinner.

We stopped in because I found it on Happy Cow but there were not reviews or menu details. There is a whole page of vegan options and all of the deserts in their display are vegan. I had the vegan cheese pizza but there are many vegan meat replacements. Owners and staff were really friendly and helpful.

Food made with love - Edit
We had a great visit to Trail Rider Pizza. I had the cauliflower buffalo and garlic Parmesan wings with a vegan ranch dressing. The wings were fresh made and quite tasty. I also had the vegan philly cheese steak made from their own recipe and I loved it. Probably could of eaten two. My partner had a gluten free pizza with a stack of veggies. Their scratch made dough was made with chickpea flour and had a great taste. She also enjoyed the vegan Tuscan soup. I brought home the vegan sticky buns that looked so good I had to try one. The best part of our visit was the staff. You can tell they like what they are doing. From the person who took our order, the chef that delivered our food and the owner who answered our questions and told us about their place with pride. We are planning on going back next week for some live music and a vegan calzone.

This place doesn’t just offer vegan options, they have an entire vegan menu and it’s all delicious. They are always coming up with new ideas and they enjoy making vegan food. The cauliflower wings are amazing and the pizza is delightful even for non vegans. We make the trip to the east mountains just to eat here.

Very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. We ordered the Notzarella sticks, a pizza with pepperoni, and a meatball sandwich. Everything was great, and we want to try the other options! We also got a brownie to go. They have several vegan dessert options. Nice vibe. They hope to have beer and wine soon.

Their pizza is very good, they are generous with the toppings, and their service is friendly. There are very few vegan options in the area, and this place was not a disappointment.

FINALLY some real vegan food in the east mountains! The vegan food here is not an after thought! Tons of options made with attention to detail and LOVE, like made in house "pepperoni" and "ricotta cheese". The only thing more awesome than the pizza are the owners, what a great family business to support. Can't wait to go back and try the calzones!

Trail Rider Pizza is my new favorite pizza place! Wonderful cheese. TRY THE VEGAN GREEN CHILI BREAD STICKS. you can’t even tell they are vegan. My boyfriend who is non vegan absolutely loved their food also. Wonderful service. 5 stars on my board. If only they had a little more seating and expanded locations one day. This place could make a killing. Keep it up. Thank you guys for making new mexico more vegan friendly.

Vegan & Gluten-free Friendly! - Edit
While staying in Tejeras we were happy to find this jewel.
Read moreWe are vegan and our friends are gluten-free. So sometimes it can be challenging to find a restaurant where everyone can have a delicious meal. This was that place. Everyone loved their food!
If you don't like Daiya (and many people don't) they use Violife cheese. We really enjoyed it. Plus they have house-made tofu ricotta. We added that to our pizza as well, because, well, why not!
The leftovers heated up beautifully and we got to experience our pizza and green chile cheese bread all over again.
The only reason we are giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the system won't allow a 5-star rating to a restaurant that serves meat.
Pros: Delicious food, Awesome for mixed company (veg, omnivore, GF), Family run
Cons: It's in Tejeras and we're not, Limited seating - get it to go!

Amazing Vegan Pizza! - Edit
This place is awesome! They have a vegan menu. I got the vegan pizza with half vegan ricotta, and the owner provided some vegan parmesan to sprinkle over top. I also got an order of the breadsticks which came with a dip. Both were fantastic and were just as good when heated up later.
Read moreThere are a few places in the ABQ area that have vegan pizza, and this place is the best by far. Friendly staff, food is made with love, and really the best options when it comes to a vegan pizza menu.
The owner and her family (including her kid) are vegan and very friendly!
Pros: vegan menu, violife cheese, vegan owned
Cons: serves meat, I can't give 5 stars

favorite vegan option to date - Edit
I have too many great things to say about this place. This is a cozy, (vegan) family run business just outside of Albuquerque. They've got amazing vegan menu full of great options. We ended up getting a pizza with vegan cheese, HOUSE MADE tofu ricotta, and veggie toppings, as well as the green chili cheese bread. The portions were great and the price was right, but the food was incredible! Curated with love, kindness, and fresh ingredients. We came in today where they were donating 25% of the proceeds for vegan orders to the animal sanctuary near by. So happy to support a vegan sanctuary, and some sweet, local vegans all in one fellow swoop! I know we will be coming here time and time again. I will be telling every vegan I meet about this place, and I hope if they visit it warms their heart as much as it warmed mine! If anyone at trail rider ever reads this, I wish I would've caught your names, but thank you for being so great and thanks for making such awesome food!
