Cozy atmosphere, nice upstairs seating area, veg options - Edit
I had the GF porridge and a kale & mango smoothie. Both nice enough, and overall a comfy hang for an hour or two.

3.5 🌟🌟🌟 - Edit
Had a great selection of vegan options, I had the porridge and apple and cinnamon tea. The porridge was really tasty and you could have that with any plant milk. There were a few other options on the menu and some nice pastries available on the counter.

Great breakfast/brunch - Edit
I spent 3 days in Brighton recently and ended up eating breakfast here every morning. Unfortunately, of the two vegan places I'd planned to go to, one had closed permanently, and the other was showing as temporarily closed on Google.
Read moreSo, thanks to Happy Cow, I found the Trading Post. The coffee was outstanding! The food was great too. Over 3 mornings I tried the vegan rarebit, the granola bowl and the full English (minus the falafels & houmous as I didn't fancy that for breakfast). I also got a sandwich to take away - Korean BBQ mushrooms on foccacia. Everything was freshly made, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
Pros: Tasty, fresh food, Amazing coffee, Nice vibe

Trading Post, True Professionals - Edit
I love Trading Post, I cannot deny it. My favourite branch is their flagship coffee house on Ship Street. Choose your coffee roast, choose your style, choose your milk alternative. Choose to sit in, choose to sit outside or simply choose to takeaway. Choose cake! Staff are well trained, personable and although usually rushed off their feet, glide around like swans (on the surface graceful and calm, underneath the surface absolute efficiency and focus reign). It’s a good, open space to meet up with friends or to sidle upstairs and take a moment to catch up with socials. A great place to top up on caffeine whilst out sampling what Brighton has to offer.

Rooftop terrace + vegan pain au chocolate - Edit
We sat up on the rooftop terrace which was beautiful on a sunny day, and a really great place to just take a breather from all the busy streets. It was fairly busy here but not hectic and had a lovely coffee and a delicious pastry (it was so flaky!) and partner had the vegan millionaire shortbread which looked disappointing (ratio of shortbread to caramel & chocolate didn't look v balanced) but tasted delicious as the chocolate was quite rich so the shortbread helped counter it and was very crumbly. Coffees were nice too! Would maybe try the breakfast/brunch sometime but also there are so many vegan options in Brighton that I didn't feel like I had missed out by not eating a meal there

Great cafe! - Edit
Amazing coffee! Plus lots of vegan options. I had the toasted banana bread with espresso peanut butter (tasted like regular PB to me) and it was surprisingly filling.

Early breakfasts - Edit
Am an early morning person and so many places which do great vegan breakfasts don’t open till 9.30 or 10. This place opens early. Brilliant Bircher muesli and full vegan breakfast. Choices of coffees and nice staff - say no more!!!

Come for the coffee - Edit
Ordered an oat milk latte and the flavour of the beans and the milk was just perfect. One of the best coffees I've ever had. Can't complain about the food - I ordered the vegan breakfast which had lots of components that were all tasty. Also tried their gluten free banana bread - the texture was a bit too chewy but otherwise delicious. The decor was a bit weird but interesting.

Great Brunch - Edit
The Trading post do a great selection of well labelled vegan options. Cheesy pesto tofu on sourdough, 'pulled pork' sandwiches, vegan chilli's. They usually have one or 2 nice vegan cakes also and change round menus, frequently adding more veg options. Great coffee and large portions, so good value for money

I love Trading Post Coffee Roasters! Their vegan cheesy tofu on sour dough bread with cherry tomatoes and avo. Their vegan breakfast is also great with falafels, mushroom, avo, cherry tomatoes and humous. Would recommend.
