Solid vegan snack selection

I usually stop at whatever Trader Joe’s I’m near when I’m in the city for road snacks/some unique ones I can’t get at my non Trader Joe’s town back home. Always a solid selection of vegan stuff at all of them.

Several vegan options

I liked it in here. Really there’s a lot of vegan options - including things that are naturally vegan, including fruits, nuts, legumes, cereals and lots of other things. There are vegan substitute ‘meats’ there too. I was disappointed there was no dairy free yoghurt.

Major lifesaver

Real vegan food without having to pay restaurant prices. Many great options at this oasis. Sweet juice bar across the street.

go-to grocery store

although there isn’t a ton of vegan substitutes, the produce is good and it’s much more affordable than whole foods

Pros: good produce, affordable, very friendly staff

Cons: needs more vegan substitutes

Some Organic/Vegetarian Selection, Not Great

There is an eclectic mix of food/beverages at this location but other than it's proximity to my home Whole Foods offers a much broader selection of vegetarian/vegan options. Trader Joe's prices are better than Whole Foods but that is somewhat offset with the fact I still need to visit another store to get all my groceries.

Cons: Limited vegetarian/vegan selection

Trader Joe's - South Loop

This Trader Joe's is a great new addition to South Loop. It's conveniently located right off of the Roosevelt EL stop and not far down the road from Whole Foods too (so you can get two trips done in one trip pretty easily). This TJ's carries all of the same things that the other ones do. I do prefer the produce here over the local supermarkets, and the prices aren't bad either. I also love the frozen basil cubes that they carry here too - they're so convenient.
