Great store for all the basics and pretty affordable. Some ready made grab and go vegetarian options too. In a fun, cute neighborhood.

Glad it's in town... - Edit
Set in the Monroe Street neighborhood, Madison's Trader Joe's is a welcome entity that carries traditional groceries and very interesting and enticing not-your-usual-food products which make for wonderfully delicicious meals and snacks - and what kind of review would this be about TJ's if I didn't mention the insanely popular and quite tasty "3 Buck Chuck Wine"?

Get their ciabatta rolls! - Edit
Trader Joe's is a lovely little grocery store with excellent service, friendly staff. I've heard that most of their products are manufactured under another name and then relabeled as "Trader Joe's" (causing the prices to rise). Even if this is the case, they choose some good products to carry. We love their ciabatta rolls (vegan), vegan meat substitutes - especially their vegan Chorizo, and bruschetta (vegan). They carry other vegan products including non-dairy milks, Earth Balance margarine, and soy yogurt. They always have samples of juice and food for free, and often the sample food is vegan.

Cons: No vegan cheese (as of 10/2011), Expensive
