Surprising Number of Options - Edit
Likely the best place to find vegan food in Queenstown. Based on other reviews, it appears that the menu rotates, but as of January 2025 there are a decent number of options to choose from.
Read moreI tried the Thai inspired salad, which was good, although I would have liked it to have a protein source as it was not super filling. Nonetheless, I was happy to have a choice of options, even if none of them were particularly inventive. Menu items were priced well.
The cafe is accessible and has plenty of seating, and is open from breakfast through dinner on most nights.

Great vegan burger - Edit
Their cheeseburger can be made vegan W/ vegan aoili, and it came out absolutely delicious. With some fries on the side. Exceeded expectations greatly.

Very limited options - Edit
I asked the staff to show me their vegan options, the only option I was given was the Vegan Super Bowl on their ALL DAY BREAKFAST menu, which came in at $15.50.
Read moreI instead opted for a bowl of Hot Chips with sides of Tomato Sauce and BBQ Sauce, which came to $8.00 total. The chips typically come with gravy which is not vegan at the time of writing this review (I checked this detail with the chef).
The chips were hot, crispy and came lightly seasoned. The tomato sauce had a tasty chutney vibe to it and the BBQ sauce was very typical, ie. nothing special.
Would love to see more vegan options sneak their way into the menu in the future.
*Anyone seeking a nice vegan pizza head to the pizza shop up the street and get the vegetarian without cheese. It's not worth adding to Happy Cow because there aren't any specific vegan options on their menu but I believe it is worth mentioning.*
Pros: Nice seating, Friendly staff, One specific vegan option
Cons: VERY limited vegan options

Nice food, lovely atmosphere and service - Edit
Queenstown Tasmania doesn’t have a lot going for it but this restaurant at the railway is tops. The vegan super bowl with black ancient grain rice, avo, mushrooms, spinach and beetroot hummus was great.
Read moreThey also have a burger they can veganize and a lot of other options on the menu they are very happy to adjust to be vegan.
The warm welcoming atmosphere and a cafe with with high ceilings and comfy couches added to the enjoyment. Price was reasonable too.
Pros: Lots of items that can be made vegan , Lovely atmosphere, Fast friendly service
Cons: Menu could have the vegan options listed, More mushrooms and less grain in the super bowl
