Cute diner atmosphere. Staff was really friendly but didn't know what vegan means, which always gives me pause - especially when they have a "vegan menu."
Read moreI had the patty melt, which used Beyond and was like an inch thick and supremely undercooked. It needed a lot of love.
I wouldn't come back, unfortunately!

Vegan Menu! - Edit
Awesome vegan menu with many options. This is very surprising considering it is a classic diner type restaurant and these places usually have only a few things tops that you can modify to be vegan. The fact that they have an entire vegan menu is very impressive. You do have to request it separately. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is very homey. The only con is that my veggie wrap was a little bland. The fries were tasty though and the rest of my (non vegan) family enjoyed their food. Great place for a classic Sunday brunch!

My go to! - Edit
When I’m visiting home, this is my go to brunch place because I know both me and my Omni friends will be able to find something good. They have a separate vegan menu that you just need to ask for, and while the staff isn’t extremely knowledgeable, I’ve had them come and double check ingredients they’re unsure of with me so they are making an effort! I’ve had the vegan skillet, firecracker wrap, and grilled cheese, and I’ve yet to have a bad meal there.

Good place when with Omni friends - Edit
Really nice to have tasty options when with omni family/friends/colleagues. The vegan skillet was tasty but nothing spectacular. For the prices, I'd rather travel a little bit farther to get more creative vegan options.

The food options were many for both breakfast and lunch and full of flavor. They also offer vegan smoothies and sweet treats. Chocolate chip cookies were amazing too!

This restaurant was a treat to find while visiting the Great Lakes, IL area. When I first went in, I didn't know they offered a vegan menu. The lady, I believe was the owner was so sweet and accommodating. I ordered the breakfast scramble and one of the smoothies and it was very yummy. I added salsa which gave the scramble an extra kick. I really hope people will consider this place. Everyone who ordered the "traditional" breakfast enjoyed their meals too. This gem of a place has options to suit everyone's dietary desires!

I ordered from the vegan menu and when I received my food there was a piece of 3 separate types of meat of noticable size (bacon, ham, and sausage) the waiter apologized and offered to have them remake it, but seemed like he just didn't care too much about the error.. Always check your food when eating at a non vegan restaurant! Most places (like this one) cook everything on the same grill.
Read moreService was pretty good other than the one time that the waiter asked if I wanted more coffee and I replied yes, he never returned with it. Last is the taste, the veggie skillet I ordered from vegan menu was tasty(6-7 of 10) my husband ordered the Bavarian Benedict and an egg side( 4-5 on taste scale) and we ordered a vegan grilled cheese for our kids, it tasted good (7-8). We paid $40 for this meal, not absolutely crazy, but still a bit pricier than it should've been for what was received. Hope this helps.
Pros: Vegan cheese was one of the good ones.

Yummy veggie scramble (potatoes, broccoli, onions, peppers, mushrooms, vegan cheese & soy crumbles). Green smoothie was tasty too - ask for no honey if you don't want it.
