Has seen better days - Edit
Used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town, now I don't even find myself thinking of it. The vegan menu is a little bland and boring. I don't think it's changed in years.

Small menu, vegan items were delicious - Edit
The menu is small, but there are two vegan tacos and a burrito which can be made vegan. We had both vegan tacos and they were excellent, cauliflower being my hands down favorite. The guac was also very good. We will definitely go back.

Loved it!! - Edit
I went to the Merchantville location for the first time and I really loved the food. I got the vegan duck wings and the buffalo cauliflower tacos which I thought were delicious. My boyfriend got the jack fruit tacos and he loved them too. Definitely going back and would like to try their vegan night too

Bland and uninspired - Edit
This place used to be great, several years ago, but the past two, not so much. The dishes were kind of "tired" and basic, and, at least in the Collingswood location, disappointingly bland. Mexican food should be full of flavor and life. 'Twas not when I was there, unfortunately. Bummer.

The Jackfruit Tacos Are Life - Edit
There are only a few vegan options on the menu, but when The Tortilla Press introduced the Jackfruit Tacos, they struck gold. I've been here twice while visiting family in NJ and both times I ordered these tacos. I'm sure the other vegan items are delicious, but I just can't bring myself to abandon my first love. If for some invalid reason you don't like jackfruit, you can easily customize your own tacos with rice, beans, salsa, guac, etc.
Read moreThis restaurant is family friendly and perfect for dining with non-vegans because everyone can find something they'll enjoy. The first time I went it was an abnormally warm day in November and they had their windows open in the front which made for a really cool dining experience. 10/10 would recommend for a date night or Sunday brunch.
Pros: Best tacos I've ever had, Colorful, inviting atmosphere., Affordable

Great for vegans!!! - Edit
The Tortilla Press had a vegan chef work there who taught the staff how to do great vegan food. The owners are committed to learning and continuing to supply vegan food. Check them out on monthly vegan night, or any day. Innovative and delicious!

Not so good for a vegan - Edit
Do not be fooled by the online menu, this restaurant is not as vegan friendly as it claims on the website. The waitress said it was no problem for the chef to make my boyfriend and I vegan dishes. However, when they served our meals both dishes had dairy items on them. The manager came over and apologized as well as the waitress and fixed the issue. The vegan mock duck was really good but the staff couldn't even tell me what it was made of. The waitress first told me the chef makes the mock duck in house... but then the manager explained to me that it was made of soy and "other things" and comes in a can. It was surprisingly good but I wish that the staff knew more about the vegan items and options.

Great Atomoshpere, Tasty Food! - Edit
The Tortilla Press is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Collingswood, if not of all time. It has a very warm, cozy feel with lots of original artwork hung on the walls and a friendly staff.
Read moreWhile their main menu might not seem to have a lot of veggie/vegan options, if you look at their vegetarian menu online or simply tell the waiter/waitress about your dietary restrictions, you'll find that there are actually quite a few, though there are less if you are vegan. But the several they do have are worth eating time and time again. The best is the Mock Duck Sandwich with a mouth-watering Peanut Butter BBQ sauce. It's supposed to be like a pulled-pork sandwich and is served with a side of tasty sweet potato fries. For dinner, the seitan is served on it's own as a platter with rice a roasted veggies, which is also good in its own way, but I prefer the sandwich. They also have a delicious Artichoke and Black Bean Burrito. Those two dishes are so good that right now, they are the only two I've tried, but I do look forward to trying their other options. Also, while the complimentary tortillas and dips are good, the warm, thick tortillas sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar they serve in the morning are to die for!
Pros: Atmosphere, Well-Knowledged Staff , Fantastic Vegan Options
