Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with dinner menus. No lunch buffet as of Oct '22. Open Mon-Thu 11:30am-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-9:30pm, Sun 12:00pm-9:00pm.
I loved how many vegan options there were at Top of India...and the best part is that they were CLEARLY MARKED. Green is vegan, white is vegetarian, red is non-veg. The buffet was reasonably priced and again, so many vegan options. I can't speak for menu-ordering since we did the buffet. The service was friendly.
We like spicy and waiter told us about spicy levels going up to 7! So of course my girlfriend had to do it. It was pretty damn hot but delicious! I got level 5 and that was pretty spicy as well. The only issue was they did not tell us there is a $1 add on for level 7 spicy. That was kind of messed up being you are paying more for risking burning your face off.
Great tasting food, and lots of variety in the lunch buffet. I was really looking forward to trying out a few mixed dishes in the buffet. I love that half of their 8 hot dishes are vegetarian. This time there was a lentil dal, chickpea curry, amazing spiced cubed potatoes, and a veggie and rice dish. On top of that, were steamed basmati rice, naan bread, and veggie pakoras. Loved that there was mint AND tamarind chutney for the pakoras. Also sides like green salad, macaroni salad, and a few other things. Overall a great variety of veggie options. A little on the pricier side, came to over $28 for 2 lunch buffets, but worth it for the variety. Will definitely come again. Oh, just have to watch on what is fresh, as I took the last of the rice and naan on one trip, but then there was fresh ones shortly after. ☺️
Good Vegan Friendly Northern Indian Restaurant - Edit
They have several options that are vegan and can replace cream with coconut milk, etc, for others. They can provide a menu that is marked with the vegan items and the staff can share which other vegetarian items can be modified to be vegan. Good quality food.
In addition to white rice, there were 4 vegan selections at Top of India lunch buffet today, (Jan. 27, 2012) all of which I enjoyed. Those were the vegetable biryani, lentil/mixed bean dahl (thin but still tasty), a mixed vegetable dish containing potatoes and carrots, and a mushroom dish. The pappadam was vegan and unlike most pappadams, not greasy. All the dishes had a nice balance of flavors and were not too spicy nor too greasy. I appreciate that the 4 vegan dishes were on the end where no meat or dairy could fall into it. I wouldn't call this top of the line Indian food, but it was certainly better than average. If in the area, I would eat here again.

Buffet not always vegan - Edit
Heads up, we came in here today and the buffet had very few options. It might be worth calling ahead to double check. Otherwise great food.
